I am often asked if I am in a wheelchair even though I kind of went out of my way to show that in my pics . Im a straight shooter so I ask that your profile have more than a couple hazy/grainy head shots, glamour shots, a pic of your favorite sunset and/or your pet:). So..Yes, I am in a wheelchair. However, I am pretty active. I am usually the one rallying my friends to do something. I also value downtime as well but I like to be active too. I am not the typical guy in a chair and I dont focus on it. I live my life as if I were not in a chair. Before my wreck 19 yrs ago, I could do ten thousand things...now I can still do nine thousand things.
I love to travel, scuba dive, take the waverunners/boat out, go kayaking in the harbor, demolition derby driving, kart racing, skiing, bowling, handcycling, marathons, cooking/grilling, swimming and more.
But I also love to spend time with my family, nieces/nephews, read , write, network, dine out, watch movies, relax, watch hockey or football , hang out with friends or visit some museums.
I am an investor. I love what I do. I buy homes, fix them up and sell them. Its awesome to take something , create a deal and then put my vision to work and then have someone else buy it. I like that creative side. I also buy homes and rent them out but thats not nearly as fun. I work quite a bit but work for myself. I can work hard and then take an extended weekend and not have to use my "sick voice" to call in to a boss. I am entrepreneurial and always looking for opportunity. I have written goals and pursue them daily.
One thing I have tried to compromise during dating but have realized is very important to me...is being with someone who embraces a healthy lifestyle. It is a big turn on for me when someone loves to be physically active at least a few times a week, keep fit and eats healthy as much as possible ...yet still enjoys dessert from time to time. Life is too short to not enjoy dessert. I find these people are happier with themselves and others. There is something so intrinsically attractive about the lifestyle and its just easier to be of the same mindset. I am happier when I am active and healthy and want to share that with another.
