Date a soulmate from Menlo Park, United States. Hi, here are a few things about me:
People describe me as someone who is laid back and easy going, but intense when I need to be.
I enjoy a balance of work, fun and family, all of those things are key to a happy balanced life, and I like to pursue each of them with all of my effort.
I enjoy a quiet night chatting, enjoying a meal, or watching a movie as much as I enjoy a wild night out at a loud concert. I enjoy seeing live music much as I can, but I also enjoy seeing good theater or a great movie.
I am mostly not interested in spectator sports. Sitting around watching football or baseball on the TV is just not my idea of a good time.
I like to pursue challenging, mostly athletic, interests, and when I get into things I really get into them. White water kayaking was an early passion, then I got into triathlons and ended up doing some Ironman races, now I’m into racing cars. The excitement, adrenaline and danger – it’s hard to beat. Future passions will probably include multi-sport races, more kayaking, but I doubt that I will ever play golf.
I love to travel.
I have a 4-year-old daughter who I don’t see nearly enough of (she lives in another state), she is the greatest kid ever and I enjoy every moment I spend with her. I put a lot of energy into being a good dad, and it makes me very happy.
Meet single man from Menlo Park, United States. Here to find a deep connection with that special lady. You are obviously very smart, fun to be with, interesting, considerate, independent, patient, have a versatile personality and with who a guy can easily settled down and live happily ever after.
My hobbies, some or all of which you may also like are mountain biking, hiking, reading, golf, world and local travel and interior-exterior design and DIY.
If you like to travel and explore new places, you will like the fact that in the last 9 months, I have done a mini-tour of South East China, Mountain biked and hiked in Moab, Utah and attended my cousin's wedding in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
I have lived in the SF bay area for more than 10 yrs since moving from England. Lived, studied (incl. PhD and MBA / worked in London and at Stanford. Lived with parents/family in Southern Africa (Zambia) and Southern Asia before moving to England in the late 80s. The Zip code 94025 is between my crazy but exciting work place and where I live which is a quiet and secure place where time slows down and you can hear birds sing and hear yourself think, ;-)
Folks who know me very well have said in the past that I am, confident, nice, down to earth and easygoing but ambitious, a person with high level of integrity, loyal, considerate, calculated risk taker, spontaneous, independent, calm as a cucumber under pressure.
Two of my poems are in the Library of Congress and are going to be published this year.
Would you not agree that meeting up is always much better than emails galore (or emailitis, for those familiar with medical terms)?
As always, conversation over latte macchiato at a local watering hole would be great. If not me, you might like the guy sitting at the next table/rock. If that happens, c'est la vie?...I will just beat him up on my way out ;o)
If interested or have burning questions, please send me a note. I am afraid I am not good at reading your mind following a wink...LOL
