I grew up on a farm in California (insert joke about peach pickers here) surrounded by family, fresh produce and a couple of oversized dogs. My small town ways translated into a particular brand of awkward when I went to the east coast for school and proceeded to have a fantastic time!
After living on both coasts I got lucky enough to snag a job up here in Alaska, and decided to give it a try. I love to travel and worked in Central America and the West Indies doing graduate research which was awesome and horrifying at the same time (read: red heads do not do well in Caribbean sun). Luckily, my job allows me to travel around Alaska quite a bit which is pretty rad, and I have to admit I could get used to the whole mountain fresh air catch your own food thing.

Date people from United States. I recently moved from the beautiful Wallowa Mountain area of Northeastern Oregon. My favorite things to do are get outside in the fresh air for any variety of activities, spend time with friends, and especially to try new things!
Some of my favorite experiences in the last couple months have been my solo trek through the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica (famously called the most biologically intense place on earth), dog handling at our local dog sled race, a couple fun party/ dancing nights. And 80 lbs of sausage making!
In my day to day life, I'm often baking bread, hauling firewood, and jogging for exercise. In the summer, that converts to endless swimming and cycling. It's winter now, and easy to dream about the water.
My friends would say I'm audacious, genuine, assertive, affectionate, a party animal, smart, and strong. Ha! My enemies would say I'm stubborn and forthright to a fault. But I like to listen. I feel most alive when I'm swimming in cold water, dancing, scuba diving, doing yoga, have a really good conversation with someone from a really different background, and some other things.
I do love dating, and just getting to know good people.
