It is important to me to have a mentally healthy and usually positive woman on my arm when we meet my/your friends. I like showing up nice.
Politics are fairly important to me. I can't be Carville to Matlin. I can stay off my soap box, but I doubt that someone on the opposite side of the political fence would have much in common with me.
My lady must be a friend, intellectually honest, fun to be with (yes, I realize that is too wide a net) We all carry baggage, some to excess, at this point in life. Mine is fairly manageable since I live alone and don't have kids.
If I meet the right woman, it might be a slow courtship, but one never knows.
I'm aware of my age and my foibles. I'm intelligent, intuitive and can be amusing. I'm also opinionated and my sense of humor has been known to drift to the dark side.I'm a firm believer in having "Big Fun" .

The physical : I dress typically in levis 501s, boots, tee shirt; usually a ball cap. I'm clean and neat, but then so's my house. I enjoy dressing , own more than one suit and several sports coats, I garden. I buy flowers for my self and I deserve them. I always have some in my house and I'd love to be giving them to a significant other. I also have ferns, really big ones.Inside-I'm healthy', physically and emotionally, near sighted, hear with out a hearing aid; my soul-I'm kind, loving, generous, very generous, outgoing-I start conversations with anyone. Education: BS Colorado State in Chemistry, MS UC Berkeley ('67-'70, the Good Years) Currently building and remodling houses. One of the best builders out there.
