I am healthy, fit and active and looking for the same in a companion. I am a 21st century man that needs a 21st century woman. I came of age in the 60's and therefore have the kind of mindset that is of that era. I am educated, self-reliant, honest, trustworthy and dependable (all the boyscout stuff). I am easy going, negotiable, flexible and easily entertained. I say what I mean and mean what I say. I am a man with all the accouterments, good and bad, that come with being a man in this Aquarian age.
I'm in need of companionship for dinners, movies, music, and especially outdoor stuff. What excites me in a woman is sincerity, honesty, intelligence, self-reliance, sensuality, a good sense of self-worth, physically fit and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound (just kidding about the tall building stuff). I love a woman who can feel at ease playing in the dirt all day and shower up for a classical music concert in the evening. Some knowledge and appreciation for music beyond that of R&R and art beyond that found hanging in motel rooms, food beyond that served in fast food places is a big plus. As far as the L word goes, companionship, for me, is the first step. I am a one on one kind of guy when it comes to a relationship and expect that of my partner.
What doesn't excite me is the antithesis of what I like. If we meet and your photos are from 10 years ago or you forgot to change your age profile for the last 5 years, then I'm gone (that's the honesty thing). If you say you are "athletic toned" and poop out after a short hike then a rethinking of your profile needs to be addressed (that's the physically fit thing). Do not read into this that I am up for the cover of Men's Health Magazine or Muscle Magazine, I am definitely not (not even close, maybe Gerontology Today or Geezers on Parade is more like it). If you are looking for the love of your life, that scares me. At this stage of life you have probably already found it, lost it, and moving on as I am doing.
