Date a man from California, United States. I'm mostly interested in other people's lives and experiences so I seldom speak a great deal about myself unless it's a unique circumstance (like here). First, I should say that I've lived in several places around the country, & in Europe and Asia. I've learned much from my experiences wherever I may have been located at the time. I'm sure that my friends would all agree that I am very friendly, outgoing, personable, thoughtful, insightful and caring with a light sense of humor. I am most proud of being a contributor to the happiness of my friends and family. I read voraciously and, as an avocation, am a bookseller/collector. Music is the soul's most beautiful, expressive outlet. And, to me, most forms of music accomplish this acceptably well with the exceptions being Rap, Hip Hop, Heavy Metal and any other form of noise that, to me, promotes the ugly side of human nature. Much of my social life is structured around my work - photographing special events, parties, weddings, charity balls, concerts, political rallies, tennis and golf tournaments, etc. The natural world is what I find most intriguing and exploring it most satisfying. I am an avid snow skier, table tennis player, diver (scuba and free-diving), hiker, traveler and martial arts master, plus the obvious: photographer, although I don't expect my companion to share all my interests or activities. I thoroughly enjoy fine/healthy dining whether at home, a picnic or a romantic restaurant; visiting museums, art galleries, estate sales and thrift stores; movies, theater, classical and rock concerts, Cirque de Soleil and much more (I never seem to get bored). My primary goal at this point is to connect with a woman who has the attributes/compatibilities that will compliment and contribute to my life. Among these, ideally, she is generous of heart and spirit, honest and forthright, open to new ideas and not afraid to express hers, communicative, supportive, demonstrative, kind, sensual and affectionate. Since I'm an "outdoors" type who loves hiking, camping, fishing, rock-climbing and long walks, my preference would be a woman who is slender, athletically inclined and enjoys experiencing the wonders of our natural world first-hand.
