I was a Mental Health Counselor (LCSW) for the last 25 or so years before I retired, having gone back to college and Graduate School in my 30’s, and then moving from Maryland to the High Desert area of California… how’s that for a life change?!?

In 2007 a Neurologist said that it was possible that I MIGHT have seizures as a result of the head injury I received in that wreck. I never have, and told him so, but he told the DMV that I “could” or “might” have seizures, and they took my Driver’s License. It’s been 19 years and no “seizures” yet, but you can’t argue with a Doctor! So the attitude of the DMV is that since I can’t prove that I’m NOT going to have a seizure, they’re taking my License just in case! It’s an annoyance. I live in Victorville, CA, and I have gotten pretty good at the LOCAL Bus system! Of course not driving tends to limit who I can get to, to see in person!
