I have a keen sense of humor and a dry wit. I am a happy, positive person who makes people laugh. I enjoy my work but look forward to retiring within a year or two. I live outside of Barstow but do not intend to make this my last stop.
What’s in my future? Travel, gardening, time with friends, quiet evenings at home, reading, home improvement projects, volunteering, time with a special lady sharing all these and more.
I enjoy quiet evenings at home but I also like to go out to eat and attend cultural events. I like to travel by just about any means and anywhere. Almost all of my travel has been in the the lower 48and I want to see more of this country but I also want to go to Alaska, Europe, Australia/New Zealand, and more.

I am self sufficient but very much like to share with someone special. I am generous, sometimes to a fault.
I read a lot--newspapers, some magazines and professional journals, mysteries, and travel/nature tales. I like to walk and hike. I am not much of a sports fan but I can tolerate most.
I love most music, especially rock and roll, blues, folk, bluegrass, gospel, classical, and some show tunes. I'm too old for rap, heavy metal, grunge, and others of more recent times.
I have two cats and two dogs but no children.
I’d like to meet an open minded lady who shares compassion for animals, enjoys time at home and with friends as well as traveling, likes to be treated like a lady, appreciates a gentle man, and is not hung up on the past but embraces the future.
My pictures with and without glasses are a few days old. Yes, I still need a trim.
