Date a soulmate from Dana Point, United States. "Maturity is finding your place in the adult world. Wisdom is bringing the joys of childhood with you." I said that but you can quote me if you like!
I get along with adults but I'd rather hang out with a person who understands and lives the above philosophy. I'm also a "coffee table" Buddhist, by that I mean I practice a personal form of meditation but I don't get hung up with "do's and don’ts! Compassion and contemplation are special words for me and I sometimes even pretend to understand their meaning. If the Dalai Lama can laugh about words, so can I. I’m a hippie who can admit to missing Woodstock, but my daughter and I loved Glastonbury! As you can see from my pictures, I’m an exercise freak and a weekend warrior. I ran marathons a few years ago but the training took too much time. I still run but soccer and music are my passions. I’ve been playing with a garage band for a few years – no gigs – just a whole lot of fun with friends.
Love my work – stem cell research! I have a Ph.D. in biochemistry and I run the regulatory dept. at a start-up biotech company. This new field should produce a sea change in medical practice. It’s great being part of the future! So - I’m not planning on retiring any time soon. If you’re looking for a long-term travel buddy, you might want to look elsewhere. I don’t intend to grow old on a tourist bus! But I will swim in warm oceans, kayak on rivers, and hike and camp in the mountains - lots of those to choose from in this wonderful world.
My personality signatures are enthusiasm and humor. My friends never know what I’ll be saying or doing next. But then, neither do I. My youngest daughter (21) and I invented the verb - spontane. It’s a derivative of spontaneous but a lot more descriptive of “intention” or the lack of same! We spontane together as often as our paths cross and we can, albeit briefly, separate ourselves from this “fast lane freeway culture” we call adulthood. Of course, spontaning is a catch 22 if you think about it. When we do, we just laugh away the reality check!
Just a question – which would you rather do - take the requisite picture of Notre Dame or find the longest walking path to this beautiful church?
Meet single man from Dana Point, United States. I am new to online dating, not sure if it is for me, but will try most anything once …… or twice.
I have been a corporate executive throughout my career, well-travelled, excellent health. Misguided friends actually tell me I am fun, easy to communicate with, comfortable to be around, pretty smart, and occasionally insightful.
Spent most of my life living in coastal beach areas. I gravitate to shorts and a t-shirt when away from the office. Kayaking, body boarding, ocean swimming, and yoga are usually weekly experiences, not just something I talk about to appear active.
Family is very important to me. I have two adult kids that I am very proud of and close to. My daughter has 5 year-old twins that have been an important part of my life since the day they were born. They are the air I breathe.
I am looking for a fun, down to earth girl who likes being near the ocean. Someone who is active, likes to travel, and can make me laugh. A lady that is just as comfortable in jeans as an evening dress, is attractive, physically fit, takes pride in keeping herself in shape, is upbeat, and just plain comfortable to be with.
Yes, my photos are current.
A final note: Fundamental core values are really important to me … family, caring for others, being respectful of people and our surroundings. I like someone who has been around the track and really understands what is important in life. Someone who just gets it.
