Date someone special from California, United States. Words or visuals? My medium is words. Why? Perhaps it stems from life experience or perhaps it’s a reflection of my thinking inclination, most likely a little of both. These words will be your first impression (reminding me of Carlos Castaneda’s observation "Perception is the product of intention"). My intention – make an impression. Your intention?
Let me start with you. Doing so will obviously reveal a bit about me. I like to use the word Bohemian when I think of you; a woman pursuing the less conventional. How your pursuit of the unconventional is reflected is secondary. It’s the journey not the destination. Your bohemian spirit is reflected in a natural curiosity, a graciousness, gratitude and casualness. Your interests will flow from your aesthetic character and will likely include art, literature, music, wine, food, travel or adventure. The openness, tolerance and casualness of the beach life-style will draw you. However, there will be a complexity about you. You will defy generalizations and stereo-typing. Your preference for jeans, havaianas and bracelets may suggest one image, but your thoughts, ideas, and accomplishments will reveal a rich complexity waiting to be explored.
Complexity. Duality. Constantly attempting to harmonize curiosity, introspection, analytical (perhaps overdone on occasion) with awareness. That’s briefly how I would describe myself. I am a combination of professional formal and casual with a modernist’s leaning toward heresy. My life at the beach includes spontaneous entertaining, frequent cooking, fine wine, learning to surf, skiing, and work. My desire to explore interesting farmers' markets (cuz I like to cook), wine tasting, restaurants, art galleries, wandering around and travel is in a self-imposed hiatus for lack of the “right” partner. I’m sure there are some other interesting details those however will need to wait. If I revealed everything now what would we talk about over our first bottle or two of wine?
Meet a man from California, United States. I am new to the Marina Del Rey area and would like meet someone special to share a glass of wine, or a cup of coffee, and conversation with. Love wine tasting, sailing, easy hiking, playing golf and long walks on the beach. My passions are wine and cooking. I even come with my own cookware and knife set. I love life! Marina Del Rey has a lot to offer. I am thinking about making this my permanent home.I am very easy going. I have an 10 month old Bichon named Giuseppe.
I am looking for someone special. A friend, confidant, partner, and travel buddy. I like a lady who looks as good in a pair of jeans as she does in that little black dress and knows how to wear either of them. Someone who loves going for drives along the coast or up in the mountains, loves roughing it on the beach or living on room service, quaint little BBs or at anchor watching the sunset. A lady who loves snuggling in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine on a rainy day or sailing with a fresh breeze on a sunny day and anchoring out and watching the sunset.
I will apologize now for my southern accent. I am originally from Arkansas. I tell most people I am from LA (lower Arkansas). I am a southern gentleman.
Date single man from California, United States. SORRY NO WINKS PLEASE...AND SORRY...ONLY FAIR...NO PICTURE, NO RESPONSE...THANK YOU!
I can best be described by these adjectives: very easy going, down to earth, live in the moment, unassuming, non-controlling, even tempered, fun loving, caring, considerate, generous, passionate, sensitive, open minded, worldly, inquisitive, educated, smart, intelligent, well traveled, sense of humor, successful, good listener, compassionate, high spirited, positive, a good parent, excellent motivator, athletic, trusting and trustworthy...you get the picture.
I consider myself spiritual (not religious), however, one has to wonder about the man (or woman) upstairs, if he/she may have fallen asleep...or may never have existed...because it certainly doesn't appear like anyone's in control of this planet from the mayhem, destruction and chaos that seems to prevail. In short, yes, I'm questioning my beliefs and faith in that "omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent".
An ideal relationship is one which is not stifling, with a balance between time and activities alone or with friends and family, and time with each other. Communication is key! Synergy between common, complimentary and compatible personalities, interests, professions etc., where one and one can equal three, not one and half.
Tend to believe in unselfishly putting the other person's needs and wants first, and looking to make the other person happy, is the secret to a successful relationship.
Combination of impulsive and planned activities make things exciting and adventuresome.
Have learned to enjoy dabbling in cooking; being a sidekick to a good cook; and when things don't work out, there's always sushi, Thai or Indian restaurant nearby!
Prefer someone who has strong family ties.
I believe in introspection, both through meditation and reflection through the eyes and minds of others.
I enjoy long deep conversations on almost any subject. I like exploring life and the mind. What people do, why they do it, what motivates them, all is fascinating to me.
Professionally, I have been an executive in the women's fashion apparel industry for over 18 years! Geez, time sure flies!. I consider myself very successful and not sure if blessed or lucky to have had the opportunities to do and experience the things I have been able to, and meet the people I have met.
I have two grown children, both living in NYC, who are very close to me.
My Perfect Match??? Not sure how one describes one's perfect match...or more like "Ideal Match". As idealistic as I may want to appear, I have to find you (and I'm sure you me) attractive...once we're beyond that...a sense of self confidence, independent, a good sense of humor, an easy going demeanor, intelligence, passion for something...anything, sense of adventure, maturity, having moved on beyond the phase of pettiness, successful in whatever your career, having dreams and aspirations, not needy, balanced, spiritual, inquisitive, broadminded, open minded, you have a world of friends and interests that occupy you. Basically, a healthy overlap in our respective character, personality, interests, desires, goals, values, beliefs.
Meet a soulmate from California, United States. I am intuitive by nature and am usually perceived as quite calm, reflective, respectful, and loyal. I also possess a dry sense of humor and am known to enjoy a surprisingly big belly laugh, and I do express my opinions and feelings clearly when called for.
Interested equally in Eastern philosophy as well as contemporary arts I have been most fortunate to travel the world for both work and play. I have lived in New York, London, The Caribbean, San Francisco (for many years) and now Los Angeles. As I love the oceans, mountains and lakes I envision at some point dividing my time between Hawaii (or another tropical environment) and the Sierra Nevada Mountains or Colorado Rockies writing, painting and re-learning to play the piano with a good bit of foreign travel thrown in for good measure.
Though I am involved in a couple of private sector businesses I have primarily made my living as an Artist - including 20 years working internationally in live theatre and now as an Independent Filmmaker. In college I taught Tennis for extra money and some fun, have continually practiced and taught T'ai Chi Ch'uan and Chi Kung for over 30 years. I often joke about coaching High School basketball as a retirement job and am sincerely considering at this time studying to become a Doctor of Acupuncture and Herbalist.
As the continuing father of two adorable stepchildren who are with me about half the time and I currently divide my life between business and artistic pursuits, play and fatherhood, which in and of itself may also involve a good deal of play.
I hope you are a woman who values life immensely, is intelligent and creative, emotionally available yet relatively stable, passionate while also somewhat calm, is willing to live life with a little adventure and importantly, generous and warm hearted in spirit toward others.
Everyone has many sides and hopefully we can embrace them all.
I do look forward to meeting you. Have the best day possible!
Date someone special from Marina del Rey, United States. hi, i am interested in finding a wife and having a family. It would be great to meet u and hope we hit it off. I was Born with Italian father and Irish mother born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, one of seven brothers and sisters and a twin to Rochelle. my first time away from home was two years in a private catholic seminary in San Antonio, Texas “ St. Anthony”. I graduated from high school one-year early and then attended junior collage for two years. While studying design and mechanical drafting, I developed a custom car called the “Scorpion”. Having an interest in cars at 17, I started fabricating this car in his parent’s garage. Robert opened up his first business: Bob’s Paint and Body Shop. For three years, he developed a clientele and expertise in custom paint, custom bodywork and finished building the Scorpion car.
Robert met a very beautiful girl named Tracy Lloyd Wright. They fell in love and became engaged and stayed together for four years. Tracy’s goals where to become a model and Robert supported her all the way. Tracy and Robert moved from Colorado Springs California in 1982, where Tracy started modeling with Fontain agency. Robert went into partnership in a bodyshop in Manhattan Beach. After two years in LA, Tracy and Robert were living on the beach in Hermosa. Life was grand, but Tracy and Robert were on the rocks, and finally they split apart. Robert, single again and living on the beach, got to know a lot of the local bikini girls. Robert had an interest in photography, learning from photo shoots that Tracy was booked on, and developed a style of his own. With a good eye for woman and for photography, Robert was shooting models portfolios. After referring the local bikini girls to David Lee Roths Music video “California Girls”, Robert soon got his talent license to become an agent, and in 1985 named the agency “California Girls Talent Agency”.
Always having an interest in boy toys, Robert designed his own jetski called “Jetcycle”. After just three months of building the prototype, he placed the “Jetcycle” in the 1984 LA Boat Show. The Jetcycle was the first passenger watercraft ever built. This project grew into three prototypes, and Robert worked with two of the boats on the James Bond film “Licensed to Kill”. This was one of Robert’s biggest goats to be on the set of James Bond. The footage of the boats was never used to promote the sales for the project so it was an unsuccessful venture.
Robert passion was always designing new vehicles. The flying car has always intrigued Robert so he came up with his own design. After the Stealth F 117 was designed Robert redesigned his flying car to become stealth, it took on a whole new look. After an interview with the Batman art department Robert started building a model of this design and called it the scull, because of its profile. After 9 months of building and development it finally flew. Robert then started to develop it into a one six scale model and redesigned it again to become a military aircraft and spent 3 years to do this, it is now called the Silver Bullet.
Robert was the first person to place and represent the top-secret aircraft F-117 and B-2 Bomber in a feature film, “Dark Territory” with Steven Segal, he also supplied the space shuttle footage that appearing in the beginning of the film.
Robert became the agent for the first stealth helicopter the Penetrator. After a few years the owner and test pilot died and Robert purchase the helicopter in the plan to place it in a film. This project was bigger than Robert expected. It has taken thirteen years to restore and customize this aircraft. It has made Robert into an aircraft restoration
Meet a man from Marina del Rey, United States. I'm one of the good ones. Nice, but not a pushover. Love animals. Enjoy my work. Cherish life.
Have spent my time making beautiful images. Love capturing the light as it reflects into my cameras. Amazing.
Date single man from Marina del Rey, United States. I am an attorney living in West LA. I am looking to meet an educated, caring and outgoing woman who is independent, devilishly sexy, and who appreciates the value of family, friends and is very upbeat about life in general and all the wondrous opportunities it offers.
Meet a soulmate from Marina del Rey, United States. Ideally I'd like to meet someone similar to my self. That is, healthy, not crazy. I'm low key and don't like crowded noisy places. Someone who likes to stay physically fit. I'm not a player and would rather not spend time with anyone who is. If things go that far, I'm totally disease free and only looking for the same. Thanks
