-love this new stage of my life, but find on-line dating to be daunting...bizarre too
-love to read and have read tons of books, including literature, and yet the only lines i can reliably quote are from the move "Airplane"
-live modestly so i can travel extensively...wow...just counted- Ive been international 6 times in 5 years! ok, 2 were for medical work, so i don't feel so guilty :)
-have the mind of both a scientist and a writer...i wouldn't say I'm an artist, but I'm learning how to live more creatively
-can usually read the emotional currents in a room, and pay attention to them far more than to the decor
-am more independent and braver than i thought, but still want to be taken care of a little
-climbed Kilimanjaro on my 40th birthday, but realized what i really wanted to do in Africa is meet the people
-embarrass the heck out of my teenagers...dont try to, it just comes naturally, i guess
- am a mom, but don't define myself that way...
-climb mount whitney every year...just as a touchstone...
-feel more secure in my world if i have an international flight scheduled...
-love the energy of a live concert, but also the quietness of a good book
-feel more comfortable in jeans and a tee shirt...yeah, i can do the black dress/heels thing, but who am i kidding?
-read 2 newspapers daily...cant get in to reading them online...
-dont fit in to any box that i have tried...
-am a mom but have never gone to a PTA meeting or baked a cupcake...i DO, however, take my kids to explore third world countries (when they are willing to go)

Meet a woman from California, United States. I love what I do for a living. I am fortunate to have fabulous friends and a close family. Honesty, loyalty and integrity are important qualities to me and I make sure that the people I surround myself with feel the same.
I'm pretty high energy which is a good thing because I want to do it all! Well, maybe not "all" because I don't plan to jump out of a plane anytime soon, but I have had a lot of fun doing the unexpected. My social circles include friends with a wide variety of interests, exposing me to some amazing life experiences.
When time allows, it's great to do a little wine tasting with friends and it's even better when you throw in some "experimental" cooking. I like trying new restaurants (a goofy place off the beaten path can be as fabulous as molecular gastronomy) but staying in and tackling an intimidating recipe can be fun, too.
Living in LA, there are so many options to have fun and be active. I work out to stay fit but it's great to have other activities like biking at the beach or taking the dog for an adventurous walk. We really do live in paradise.
Although this is the entertainment capital of the world, I think we can all do with a little less drama. Maybe that's why I'm always drawn to comedies! I'm already a happy person but it would be great to share some new experiences with the right person.
