I love critters, children and being a parent. I am divorced, and co-parent with my ex. Raising my child is job one. I work hard, but try not to take myself too seriously. I definitely have an off button, which brings balance to my busy life as a working parent.
I am low-key, and comfortable with or without makeup. I left the hamster wheel of high tech corporate/city life over 10 years ago in order to live in a small rural town, simplify my life, and love being/coming home each day. I live in a beautiful slice of paradise. For me, it was definitely worth the leap.
I have been described by others as kind, witty, friendly, resourceful, a good listener, having geek tendencies, mechanically inclined, smart, fun loving, supportive and loyal. People who meet me comment on my eyes, my energy, my hair. That sounds new-agey, but I’m not. I grew up with the music of Motown, Elvis, Willie, Bowie, Stones, Punk Rock, Hip hop, and progressed through reggae, jazz, roots, and down beats. Most everything except for new country or pop is okay by me. Gardening is a passion of mine, and I have come to enjoy nature and wildlife much more than keeping up with pop culture. I enjoy kayaking, I read the news, and I listen to all types of music. Shopping is not a past-time of mine, unless you count Farmer's Markets or perhaps vintage finds. Dining out, checking out a gallery, a picnic, cocktails, or a walk in the woods all sound good to me. I enjoy healthy foods for the most part, and I hope that you do too. I dig spontaneous road trips, and the occasional camping trip. I’m not into big crowds or the bar “scene”.
I am looking for friendship and companionship first, and I donРІР‚в„ўt expect one person to fill my every need. I am, however, a one-man woman. I should state that I am not into ultra conservatives, heavy drinkers, or tv addicts. Honesty, fun, compatibility, and attraction are at the top of the list. In the greater picture, what I believe to be the keys to a successful relationship are mutual respect, effective communication, a desire to work at things, honesty, and an understanding that we are all unique individuals with much to learn from one another.
