I have no musical talent whatsoever and appreciate it greatly in those who do. Listening to live music is close to the top of my list of favorite things to do – stadium shows, house concerts, music festivals - I’m there. I have eclectic tastes and am willing to give anything a try, with the possible exception of death metal and elevator music.

I have an inner science geek and a demanding career that is important to me, and at the same time its important to find balance in my life – work hard play hard, that’s me. I usually exercise 3-4 times a week . I do some volunteer work in my spare time and am a big believer in giving back and helping out in my community.

Date a soulmate from Encinitas, United States. So, I'm reading through my profile and think "blah, blah, blah" LOL Kind of boring to read a description of who I think I am. Maybe I will tell you a story instead to get a better idea of me. When I was in college at UCSD I really wanted to back pack across europe and went to all the student meetings to learn the ins and outs of how to plan. My friends were going to go with me, but when push came to shove everyone chickened out.....except me. I wasn't going to miss out on this adventure. I kept thinking that if I waited for other people to join me I'd never get to do anything. Since then I've traveled to Europe at least 6 times and to central America. I think New Zealand is next. Don't tell me I can't do something or I might try to prove you wrong. Some tried to tell me I couldn't get into vetschool when I was still an undergrad. Well, I got in with flying colors and am an equine vet in the area I grew up in and still love today. Skiing is a blast. I just got back from a trip to Bishop (for work ) and a fun day in the mountains at Mammoth. It was great fun to ski with some local gals who know all the trails. They were really good skiers. I'm pretty good, but mainly fast. I grew up with brothers I had to keep up with so it was nice to ski with gals who didn't stop all the time. I love the adrenaline, the outdoors and the speed :) The picture of me is in Switzerland last year....holy WOW! B-eautiful.
I've seen one of my favorite small bands (not too many folks would know them) in 6 different cities. Twice I'd made travel plans and then found out they were playing in the same vicinity so I changed my plans a bit and made it work. There's nothing like music that really resonates with you. The sound, the lyrics, the rhythm. I hope next time around I get to be a musician! :)
Recently I've become so much more aware of the gift of health! I'm so grateful. I had some months in the last year when I was unable to exercise like a used to. That is all over now and being able to run and work out again is great. I feel so much better and energetic. Like I said, living in the gratitude.
Also, I'm starting daince classes. I love to dance!
I guess you'd like to know how I became a vet? Well, my parents say that I was always the one all the animals came up to first....like they knew. I didn't save too many wild animals, but I was insistent on making my mom go to the shelter and pick up the neighbors dog who sent her there after she(a puppy) bit the kid. "Penny" was the best and smartest dog. She watched over all three of us siblings like it was her job, best first dog ever!! When I got into horses (at 11) the deal was sealed. My connection with horses was strong and I spent all my afternoons at the ranches through highschool. I'm pretty lucky I got to combine my love of horses with my love of science AND get to work outdoors.
My spiritual side is strong and I like to keep growing and stretching my mind. My beliefs are more metaphysical but I feel they help me to be more open, more loving, more compassionate and more understanding of myself and others. It's a work in progress, but I believe that while we are alive we are able to grow.
