I know what I want and if I don't get it, I find happiness with what I have...so I won't send back a cheeseburger on our first date unless there's a hair in it. ;D I'm silly sometimes and have a childlike outlook on life. I don't think it's naive to always find the good in people and give them the benefit of the doubt; even a few chances.
I laugh out loud at funny movies, puppies, reality shows (guilty pleasure) and sometimes at myself to lighten things up, and use exercise, talks with friends and family and wine or a dirty martini to de-stress. I try to do more of first two during the week; on the weekend I'm unwinding if I'm not working so the last two I just enjoy 'cuz I can. So, there! ;)~
What I am looking for in a relationship is mutual adoration. We don't have to have everything in common. We should balance each other out. Romance, romance, ROMANCE!...and fun. Must be easy going, not hyper-critical. I'm easily amused, so I do not require a knight in shinning armour to ride in on a white horse with flowers in tuxedo, but champagne would be nice! :) Jeans and a t=shirt, Chinese take-out and a movie and a nice bottle of wine. There; I"m happy. :) ...Oh wait, move a little closer so we can cuddle. Ah, that's much better!
In what little leisure time I have lately (I work a lot of hours and some Saturdays, but I'm trying to catch up so won't have to for much longer), I do A/P, A/R and wear a lot more hats than that, but love what I do and I'm good at it. I also love where I work, even though everyone hired in the front office after me couldn't handle the pressure, so quit within' a month or two...wimps! ;D The good thing, guys, is that we close from Christmas to New Years, so you and I can fly or drive off to destinations unknown...or hang out in the backyard, bbqing with a bottle of beer and lots of laughs.
I eat tasty non-dietetic food (except I prefer Diet-Pepsi over Aunt-Jamima-Syrup-Tasting regular sodas (blauuugh), watch too much TV and movies but can't help myself. I shop but I'm frugal (very low maintenance guys). I don't dress up as much as I should during workdays and wear gym clothes to work so I can go to the gym during my lunch hour, but change into a sundress at night and love dressing up for my man; I want him to be proud of me and I enjoy feeling sexy.I watch The Food Network Channel or Bravo TV at night and Channel 4 news in the morning. I wait til movies come out on video and watch at least 2 rental movies per week. The movies I choose are dramas, comedies, sci-fi and vampire movies. Not really into slasher movies but have seen a few with my eyes open. :O It's 11:39PM and I just finished my dinner of a Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage Muffin and a glass of red wine, but love cooking. I just haven't made the time lately being single with a relatively new job. I'm happy spooning marinated garbanzo beans and artichoke hearts over sliced multi-colored airloom tomatoes and topping that with chopped prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella and drizzling all that with a little balsamic glaze, topped with ground Himalayan pink salt crystals and fresh-ground black pepper. I would crash and burn on the Food Network's reality-show called, "Chopped" (my favorite show) though. I make pretty good spaghetti & meatballs, meatloaf and lasagna. I know how to cook chicken in various ways and can read a recipe. and I can "Bake a Cherry Ppie, Billy-Boy, Billy Boy!" I love to make my man happy so if you don't like my cooking, I'll find other ways to make you smile. ;D On our first date, I'd like the man to pick the restaurant. I'm not picky, nor am I spoiled as long as the food is good and the company is yummy to my tummy. As far as looks are concerned, I've dated an eclectic range of gentlemen and really do care more about chemistry than looks or how much money is in your wallet.Hugs
