I was blessed with great parents and raised in a small country town in Northern California, before taking off for Berkeley, the Sorbonne and New York; and have two great kids, the product of a long marriage that ended amicably.
I love So California - we can agree to disagree on this point:) The weather, the people, the ocean, the seasonal nuance of light are extraordinary. I miss the deeper history of older cities, but that is what planes are for!
France is a favorite destination; love Paris and especially the richness of Burgundy - vines, lilacs, Romanesque churches, amazing food and heavenly wine!
An active social life is important, lots of concerts, dinners, meet for drinks, volunteer and give small parties, but lots of downtime is needed too.
Do you like music? Bring it on - all of it! I still have my Dad's Gibson ES175 and play it often, though lightly. Mostly blues and jazz, and also current pop - Bruno Mars is hilarious and Adele sometimes too much to take:) I recently started writing songs, using the old jazz guitar and a litany of poetry written on post it's, Blackberry's and iPhones! It is so great to do something you never thought possible.
I practice yoga, and work out frequently. I love anything on the water, and hike in the canyons every weekend.

Still on the fence on the "if I like L.A. factor " is based on many reasons. The weather is a PLUS... 100%...My social life...???????...I have two amazing daughters, one who just graduated college this past May and one out on her own. I like to date educated men who have great relationships with their children, have a sense of humor, work out and take care of themselves and actually take pride in their appearance. If you say you don't smoke that doesn't mean trying to quit. Athletic and toned isn't a thought it is actually going to the gym or doing some sort of exercise. I appreciate a man who works out as I do myself at least 5 days a week. An emotional connection and physical attraction are equally important for me; I can't have one without the other. I am being as upfront as I can be so please be the same about who and what you are all about. As a side note I have done Match before and have become an "expert" on "detecting" new updated pictures from ones that are not...PLEASE say and BE who you are which includes being honest about your height, weight,age etc. because when it comes time for "The Date" there is no hiding behind the computer screen. . I’m your average woman. I'm usually up, but sometimes I'm down. Often I laugh, but now and then I cry. I can be strong, but there are times when I’m weak.
