I've been using on-line dating for a while now, and I have some questions for you guys regarding pictures on your profiles....
why have pictures of yourselves:
1) in a bathroom mirror? (find a friend to take one -- you won't die from it, I promise!),
2) without a shirt and possibly flexing, perhaps in a gym or a bathroom mirror? (this is NOT necessary!!),
3) with the fish you caught?,
4) with other men and it's your main profile picture? (we won't know who's profile we'll be reading!),
5) in or on your car? (this picture does not boost your masculinity rating!),
6) while at your computer, possibly in the dark? (lonely-looking and creepy),
7) not smiling? (we want to see your smile!!),
8) with a hat and/or glasses or we can't see your face?(we want to see unobstructed pictures of you, hair or no hair! Some of us don't care about your hair or lack thereof!) or, and this is the worst ,
9) no picture at all? (I mean, really??? Nothing says "no mojo" more than a profile without a picture.)
I'm a true California girl, born and raised by the beach in So Cal (but not LA).
My friends would describe me as together, balanced, sometimes intense, always ready for a laugh, love to make others laugh, clear about what I want, honest in a kind way, loyal and fun.
Tennis, power walks, weight lifting, dance aerobics classes are fun but I can't stand doing the machines at the gym. Too much like a hamster wheel! Ew! The outdoors is great for a hike, a great view or sunset but, I'm not outdoorsy. I might glamp but, i won't camp.
The arts are a big part of my world: museums, live music, live theater, the ballet (no, you don't have to go with me!). I saw American Idiot recently.
I've lived over-seas and traveled but, feel there's still so much of the world to explore and can't wait to start that trek.

I have made it a point to have great adventures, quality family time, and have become my own best friend. All in all, I'm a very easy going and very low maintenance girl. I try to enjoy myself as much as I can. I own a home, I'm independent and self sufficient. With all that said, maybe you guys can help me understand something. I've noticed there are a lot of flaky people in the world of on line dating. It seems that once the conversation moves to the next level by exchanging numbers, it also seems to end. Either the guy will ask for my number, I'll give it but never get a call or, the guy will give his number, I'll leave a message but never get a returned call. I don't get it. Why bother if you're not interested? Seriously. Am I missing something here? I, at least "try" and then see where it goes from there. Why does this happen?
