I work online doing website design so I can live anywhere. For now, I split my time between San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and South Lake Tahoe, and travel every chance I get, which is often. I'd gladly reconsider the geography for the right person, but I have figured out how to live an amazing international lifestyle and the "right" guy will be open minded and willing to give my lifestyle a shot. Someone self-employed or able to work from home or semi-retired would be a good match.
I'm attracted to intelligent guys who don't take themselves too seriously and can make me laugh. I like good listeners and good companions. I don't want drama, or angry/complex/brooding types. Too deep equals messed up, and I'm just not into that. I'm looking for an emotionally healthy guy who enjoys life.
Physically, I am cautious with new people at first, but once I feel comfortable, I'm affectionate and warm. I like a single glass of red wine with dinner, coffee in bed in the mornings, hot, steamy, showers for two...I like to sleep in a cool room with good sheets, where down comforters and spooning are essential....I dream of having a bedroom with a fireplace in it...and an office with a spectacular view...I like soft music just about all the time and lavender is my favorite scent. I'm bowled over by men who sincerely enjoy small romantic gift-giving and surprises and who are exceedingly thoughtful. I love anniversaries, traditions, love notes, flowers just because it is the weekend, the silly little code languages that lovers share. Yeah, I'm a romantic.
The right guy for me is the kind of guy who doesn't have any secrets, who is an open book. He asks and respects my advice. Doesn't obsess about problems, keeps a photo of me in his wallet and on his desk at work - because he wants to. He says I love you, even when people are around and isn't afraid to use the term "we" and "us" when referring to the future. He's the kind of man who cleans his car the afternoon before our date, then shows up on time, in freshly laundered/pressed clothes, he's just showered, shaved, smells great - I can tell, he put thought into our date. He isn't rigid - he's not going to mind if we decide to change plans. He can roll with it - this is key, especially when travelling!
Sorry, but I am NOT an athlete and don't want to be pressured into doing any of the typical "Tahoe" sports, so if you require any of the following, we would not be a match: Downhill skiing, snowboarding, backpacking, camping, wake boarding, water skiing, mountain biking, road biking, golfing, etc. I'm mostly a walker and day hiker, and enjoy most warm-water/beach sports, like snorkeling, swimming, diving, sailing. Will very likely leave Tahoe eventually in favor of a small town somewhere on a beach or at the very least, at a lower elevation.
