I became a Christian when I was 14 and have been committed to that faith ever since. Oh, and no one ever said I was boring. I am a fun person with serious values if that is any help.
I learned to snow ski when i was 4, board surf when i was seven. skin dive when i was 6, and my first back pack trip was about then too. I was even a ski instructor in my twenties and have river rafted on three rivers. . Before kyaks became popular, we once all tried to catch 4-5 foot waves in an aluminum fishing canoe. That is my real personality Unfortunately, I sustained some injuries (not from doing anyting fun but from people hitting me with cars) and so i can't do the sports i love. But I still love the outdoors and participate as much as i can. i still love camping and the ocean. Since some people have asked, I do not look hurt or injured in any way. You would not know, I was hurt unless I told you. Even then, people do not believe me. The benefit of good genetics and a lifetime of exercise, and a healthy lifestyle, I guess.
Would really like to go on that last first date, but the right person is more important than a person.
I have been blessed with amazing friends and interesting work. I was a teacher, worked in mental health and I had my own practice for 8 years in neurological rehabilitaion . i am taking a break from that right now because of some health complications from the injuries i mentioned. That has also impacted me financially. So if that is a problem for anyone, i understand. I just want to be up frront about that.
I do hope to go back to making contributions in that field. It is very interesting and rewarding work.
I like things to be fun and interesting, but also relaxing. i have a logical mind but a warm, encouraging and affectionate nature. A lot of people mentioned a healthy lifestyle. i sort of ended up knowing a lot about nutrition and specialize in really good tasting organic recipes. But I am not a health nazi and do not tell anyone what to do about their lifestyle or anything else for that matter.
Once, instead of thinking about what i thought i wanted in a relationship, i thought about what had worked in the past. So based on the principle that past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior i came up with 6 things all my long term ( like 10-20 plus year) friendships had in common 1. They were super fun to be with 2. They were all committed to doing the right thing. 3. They were always there if i needed them 4. We shared a christian faith 5. They were all willing to work things through if there was a misunderstanding. 6. A kindness and tenderheartedness. So those are things i look for.
