I have 3 sons who I love very much. They are very much of a part of my everyday life and I will always put them first. Even though they are older 21, 18, and 14.
I grew up in Michigan and like to spend my free time outside. I like to hike, swim, watch sports, go on walks with my wonderful dogs (Layla, 2 year old yellow lab and Ted a 1 1/2 year old bluenose pit).
Things I enjoy doing are spending time with my family and friends. I am a very social person and love to meet other people. Even if we do not make a Match, I hope that if we have enough in common we can be friends :) I love to watch sporting events in person, going for walks on the beach (sunset is my favorite time), watching a movie at home, or getting together with a group of friends for a cook out. Meet someone special from California, United States. After taking a poll of one (ie. a friend/past roommate) I was told that I am goofy, charming, fun, outdoorsy, love the ocean, have a neurotic dislike of wind chimes, and make good cookies. She also added that she appreciated how I had kept our fridge well stocked with ice cream and beer...ok, so I am not sure how helpful this is but at least it is straight from the heart.
I grew up in the Midwest and moved to San Diego for college. Though San Diego is home to me I moved to Colorado for several years to go back to school. Colorado was an incredible experience and the friends I made there are amazing. My end goal, though, was always to move back to San Diego and rid myself of the cold winters and digging my car out of snow drifts so I'm thrilled to be back here again. Now that I've moved away I get nostalgic for certain things about Colorado and go back about once a year.
While I am happy with the life that I have created for myself, I am looking for the companionship and excitement that comes with a good relationship. You know, the kind of relationship where good conversation comes naturally, where staying in for the evening is just as much fun as going out, and where time flies when you are together because you are having such a great time. I would like to be with someone who makes me laugh, think, grow, and become giddy when I'm around or thinking about them.
Things that are attractive to me include honesty, humor, an outgoing personality, confidence without arrogance, intelligence, respectfulness, open-mindedness, spontaneity, respect for animals, and an interest in the outdoors and traveling. Beyond that, everything else is wide open because it would be silly for me to try to describe the qualities and attributes that I will like in someone who I have not yet met.
I want to clarify myself on the children question because none of the multiple choice answers accurately describe what I think. So basically it comes down to this - it depends. While I think having children could be a wonderful experience, I do not feel the need to definitely have them. If I met the right person for me and he wants children then having children sounds amazing and I would definitely want them. If the right guy for me does not want kids then that's great too. Ok. Enough about that :)
