THE WOMAN SHOULD BE TALL, GOOD LOOKING, SMART, EDUCATED, CONSERVATIONAL, FUN TO BE WITH, TRAVELS WELL, ENJOYS SPORTS, GOOD COOK, BALLROOM DANCER, SOCIAL DRINKER, LOOKIING FOR A LONG TERM RELATIONSHIP.
Meet a man from United States. I am well put together, polite, kind, attentive, considerate, interesting and intelligent,(and modest?). I am interested in listening to other people. I am active, read a lot, exercise, and belong to both a breakfast group and a mans group. I have a good sense of humor, and love to make my family and friends laugh. - Please note: I do not respond to winks. Sorry. I learned this from the women on this site.
I like dining out, good conversations, intelligent women, walking, movies, and sometimes just staying home with a good movie or book. I enjoy plays (highlight: seeing Bernadette Peters on Broadway in “A Little Night Music” by Peter Sondheim), and Porgy and Bess. My musical tastes include Pavarotti, Andrea Bocceli (saw him in L.A), and Celine Deon. I also like to dance (swing and country). If you don't, that's OK.
My children are well on their own, and it is time to find someone special. Just one good one is all I ask for. I am faithful. I have resumed working out, joined a yoga group, cut my hair (twice), grew 2 inches (not really), and bought decorative plants and new furniture for my 3-bedroom condo. put in a plank floor. I was taking fencing lessons, but shoulder arthritis stopped that. I fenced 45 yrs ago, and was also a pole vaulter and ran track and cross country.
I really enjoy traveling and have visited Europe (Italy, Spain, France, England, with my daughter) and parts of Canada, Greece, Turkey, and Israel. I plan to travel more. I’m particularly interested in returning to Barcelona or parts of Portugal, but also really like N.Y. and S.F, parts of N.M., and the raucous cowboy dance bars in Prescott, AZ. If you have never traveled abroad, that's OK. Never to late to start.
I had two careers, first as a U.S. Probation and Parole Officer for the Central District of California and later as an investigator/report writer for the Public Defender, Ventura, CA. Working in the criminal justice system did not harden me; it informed and softened me. Now I work part time at the Carpinteria library. Sometimes it seems like a fast food restaurant, but with books instead of food, with faced-paced, brain-challenging activity. I am always finding new books to read and movies to watch. I enjoy talking with local patrons and visitors alike. I also appreciate the camaraderie with my female co-workers (I am the only male) who like to give me instruction… which I cheerfully accept, since they really like me. Try coming by the Carpinteria library in the afternoons on Wed., Fri and Saturdays, after 1:00 pm.
I have two children. My daughter is an attorney in N.Y. (graduated from Stanford and N.Y.U.) and my son is in group insurance (graduated from Westmont). I love them dearly -- when they were born and put into my arms I said, "So this is love."
I have twice studied to be a master hypnotist, and twice I did nothing with it. - same for real estate - they are simply interests. I have river rafted in the American River near Sacramento, with my kids and friends, and in the Russian River in Idaho.
Looking for: Intelligence, patience, kindness, love, touching, hugging, cuddling, someone to travel with, a loving companion. Sometimes I view myself as an ordinary guy, who has been blessed with some luck, good fortune, and good experiences.
Sometimes even the worst times and experiences turn out to be good stories--that can be embellished a bit and even made
funny. I have the attitude, if going through a difficult period, that it may be rough/difficult, but it sure is interesting.
