I like to be active and social. I like to swim, to cycle, visit with friends and neighbors, and travel to warm places. I workout regularly in the gym to stay in shape. I feel that I am a psychologically balanced person, and I appreciate balance in others. I am financially secure and well established in my career in higher education, and I am happy in it.

To be honest I have found it difficult to get back into dating. I was married at 21 and spent 27 years never even thinking about wandering or divorce. If you can't handle it don't go out with him" I also enjoy outdoor time and construction things around the house. I am not what most people would consider a stud but I do believe I am fairly attractive and try to stay in shape. I am highly intelligent, love stimulating conversation and can figure out how to fix most anything. I am an old-fashioned genuine loving; caring gentleman who believes in opening a door for a lady. I am mild mannered and even tempered and don't argue or fight unless someone I care for is threatened and there is no other choice. I have two beautiful daughters in their early 30's, a grandson and a granddaughter both almost 2 years old and two grandsons both around 2 months old. I love kids and taught high school for 5 years before being laid off and returning to the transportation industry. I just seem to have a way of relating to young people most adults don't possess. I do like getting and giving lots of attention and spending time with that special someone. Life is a lot shorter than we realize and in the end almost everyone wishes for more time. Appearance and personal hygiene are important, especially hygiene. I like to keep my home neat and clean but my garage can tend to get a little messy at times ;). I am a people person and have many very close friends from all walks of life. I tend to judge people more on how they treat their fellow man and who they are now than what they did in the past and would like to find someone who is kind to everyone regardless of who or what their social status is.
