Date men and women from California, United States. OK, time to get serious here. I live for the outdoors. Sun, snow, rain. It doesn't matter. I can't stand being trapped indoors. Or in a car. I prefer 2 wheels over 4, dogs over cats, dirt over pavement, Sammy Hagar over David Lee Roth (I know that's heresy but, oh well...), Bud over Miller, silver over gold, leather over lace (maybe latex for fun ;-) and work over poverty. I don't watch TV or go to the movies. I am a news junkie who reads the Bee and the New York Times cover-to-cover every day. Occasionally you will even catch me with the Mountain Dumb-o-crat if I am feeling particularly trashy. I am a passionate explorer. Give me a map and a compass (or GPS) and I'm gone for days.
I would love to meet a woman who is as comfortable in heels as she is in boots. And likes both. Intelligence, wit and a sense of humor are all pluses. Have your own motorcycle, ATV or Jeep and I'm hooked. That's not to say that I don't like civilization. I love French food, sushi, the theater and even an occasional opera. And apparently I need to find out just what the heck is going on down in Roseville & Rocklin as there seem to be dozens of beautiful, single women down there.
I suck at golf but consider it a drinking game so that's OK. I am most comfortable in shorts and t-shirts but don't mind suits either. And know there is a time and place for both. I have insanely eclectic and diverse musical tastes and have something on all the time. Seriously, my tastes run from metal to the blues, country to classical, alt to (occasional) pop. About as rap as I can go is Linkin Park tho. I've tried and I just can't make that happen.
I was married for a long time and am on good speaking terms with my ex. Nothing horrible happened, over time, we just chose different paths. I prefer 6AM over 3AM and the outdoors over the television. My ex eventually began to think differently. I am a carpe diem person rather one that lives for the great reward after we stop breathing. I understand some folks need for a belief in something larger than themselves. I understand it but I do not necessarily agree with it. Having been on my deathbed once and being perfectly OK with that, I rarely waste a day. Or a moment.
I cannot stand stupid people. I do not care if you are educated (or not) as there are plenty of stupid people with PhD's. Just be wise. I try to keep an upbeat, positive attitude and look at every new dawn as a new opportunity for something good. Even though occasionally I really want to kill some idiot. Ride a motorcycle for a while and you will not believe the stupidity you will see out there. There is no text that anyone can send that is worth their life. Or mine.
So now I live up in the pines and love every minute of it. The sights, the sounds, the smells, the wildlife. It can be a little strange being single and alone in the woods sometimes but I love it nonetheless. I can be alone but am never lonely. And Los Hermanos is close... Oh, and I'll work on that photo thing. I promise I'm not hideous. I just have to be a little cautious with my position at the office and all. I am the CEO of a fairly large corporation and cannot have "casual" (aka shorts & t-shirts or riding leathers & beer) pictures floating around the internet ;-).
