Date someone special from California, United States. Let's see, how can I describe the essence of me? I am emotionally mature and stable, yet at the same time I am also very young at heart. I am basically a kind and considerate person who tries to make other people feel good about themselves. Although I tend to be on the PC side of life I enjoy hearing and telling off colored jokes. My friends will also tell you that I am very loyal. I love to be outside (regardless of the weather) and tend to be very active. Currently I go mountain bike riding or hiking 4 days a week, and fill up my spare time play golfing, hanging out with friends, or just sitting in the backyard with a glass of wine and a good book. In case you are wondering if I have time for you, well, let's find out. I also enjoy wine tasting and exploring different parts of Sonoma County and beyond. I am also up for trying new restaurants, going to a museum, or just spending an afternoon or evening at the movies. I am somewhat social and like to do things with friends, although the occasional quiet night at home is also nice.
I am attracted to bright, intelligent women who are curious about the world around them. I like women to be emotionally mature and secure in themselves. Like any man I think that every women should be sweet and lovable, but I would add a good dash of feistiness to go along with that. I believe that a relationship will only work well when both partners are equal. Obviously from the description of myself I am looking for a women who likes the outdoors and who wants to live life with a passion. A good sense of humor is a must (oh, have no doubt that I will give you lots of reasons to laugh, if not usually at me).
So, what am I looking for in all of this? Obviously someone who shares my view of the world and who I can share my hobbies with - but also someone who I can share a romantic moment with during the every day events of life. Candle lit dinners and moonlit walks on tropical beaches are special, but sadly all to often, rare events. Why limit romance to rare events? A little romance should be a part of everyday life as well - whether it is sharing a glass of wine in the backyard or walking down the street holding hands - if you care about someone romance should never be far away.
Meet a soulmate from California, United States. I believe I’ve evolved into a more compassionate personality yet still hold onto integrity. I recognize when to yield and step back to look at the bigger picture of life in order to understand others and enjoy the moment. I consider myself balanced between energetic and easy going, yet I desire an intimate relationship with someone special.
I enjoy life at social events seeking out conversation, which I may start with something serious or kick start with something humorous when appropriate. I really enjoy being around people who are opening minded, optimistic and love to laugh. I feel compelled to stay connected with friends and family.
My two sons are grown and have their own families. I’m optimistic and grateful for my accomplishments raising my two boys and a sucessful career. My two sons have enlightened me on one of life’s greatest prosperities, raising two children. I value my younger brother who has certainly been an inspirational person to me experiencing good and challenging times.
I’m involved with numerous clubs, giving back to the community. Being involved in the community is a great opportunity to meet new people.
Let see… the fun stuff; I like to snow ski, snowboard, mountain biking, working out at the gym, camping, attending sports car events, attending sporting events, concerts, theater, dining out, a drive along the coast to a coastal cottage for some RR. I would love to travel back to Europe, hopefully with someone special. I find enjoyment in simpler things, like being home walking my dog, watching a movie, pursuing small projects around my house, relaxing next to a fireplace with wine and intimate conversation. I thrive to be present, enjoying the moment and hope to share those moments with a special person. With that said or enough said about me, I guess I should convey what I’m looking for in a partner.
Who I'm looking for.... I’m looking for a woman who enjoys the presents of others, someone who is social and fun to be around, someone who understands and can be affectionate, compassionate and is opened minded respecting her partner’s beliefs. I’m looking for a woman who is patient, comfortable communicating and sharing her ideas. I’m looking for a woman who can assure commitments. I value a woman who can be their self, honest, optimistic and enjoys laughter. I’m looking for a soul mate that values a meaningful intimate relationship and is willing to make an effort to maintain such a relationship. I’m looking for a woman who wants love and knows how to give love.
Hmmm, waiting for the light shining through, someone that could be you. Someone exactly like you.

Date a soulmate from Santa Rosa, United States. Independant lady wishing she would meet her prince for companionship and fun. She is flexible and so must he be, kind and loving, and so seeking the same. While she is on the quiet side he might be more talkative and funny.
Meet someone special from Santa Rosa, United States. Friends would say I'm beautiful and intelligent, playful and passionate, honest and loyal, a caring professional, and a great mom (my kids report on that last point). Sophisticated yet relaxed, given equally to pleasure and principles, I'm an adventurous traveler who treats homemaking as an art form. A longtime gentleman friend recently touched my heart by offering, unsolicited, "You inspire others to believe everything is possible."
I most enjoy men with complementary interests, tastes, and energy to my own. So while I may be naturally inclined to create a beautiful little evening at home for us or doll up for dinner and music out, I'll also have a great time in jeans as your intrepid traveling companion, shotgun rider on our road trip, first mate (I have an unrequited passion for boats), hiking buddy--whatever. You don't have to be into flowers, say, but you will love it that I am; likewise I don't have to be into [insert manly pursuit of choice], but I will love it that you are. We will treasure our time together and apart. Bottom line, it's delicious to be a feminine woman in connection with a masculine man. Vive la difference!
Right about here a photo-less girl like me would typically say something like, "Happy to send pictures if it seems there's a potential click." As it happens, there are things I particularly like about the kind of guy who's up for the almost unheard of challenge of meeting me sight unseen: He's a bit of a risk-taker; he goes for things besides beauty; and like me he doesn't take this online thing too seriously. All good stuff.
Of course visual/physical chemistry definitely matters (if I've pinged you, I think you're handsome ; ) ). Respecting this fact, I will share that men generally like my looks quite a lot. For what it's worth, I quit coloring my hair this past year to discourage the attention of the thirty-something set. I so prefer the strength, depth, and wisdom of mature men (not to get all stereotypical here, but you're also generally more fun to tease and banter with ; ) ).
To the practical points, my wonderful kids turn 15 through 23 this year; the two youngest live with me. My work involves delightful travel and social life--some of it formal, so I'd appreciate a gentleman who enjoys (or cheerfully tolerates) the tuxedo and gown scene. My exceptionally amicable divorce will be final early in the new year, and has been emotionally resolved for a long time. Meanwhile, I'm fully open to meeting new people, to the pleasure of an interesting man's company, to fun, laughter, and engaging conversation, new and varied shared experiences, and whatever deeper connection might unfold between us.
Thanks for reading. Have a great day!
Date a woman from Santa Rosa, United States. You are energetic, tall and really healthy emotionally, physically and financially. Bodacious if you will and you are not intimidated by a tall healthy courageous female.
My courage comes from successfully raising three beautiful strong girls, now women, on my own. They are off doing their thing and now I get to enjoy mine. Only thing missing is that fearless guy!
I love to dance.......love Saturday nights and Sunday mornings, love to garden. I enjoy all sports and especially love championships of any kind. I am a cooks best helper and would love to meet someone who needs help in the kitchen! Would also love learning what makes your heart happy and see what we can combine, and leave the rest alone....
Meet people from Santa Rosa, United States. My life has had many twists and turns and I'm enjoying this latest adventure, and following the threads that run throughout my life. I was born in Cuba during the Revolution, and have been living in the San Francisco Bay Area for 40 years. My dream is to someday live in Oaxaca Mexico, at least part time (when I retire? in the meantime, I go back & forth to visit). Although I was a visual artist doing social documentary photography for many years, I'm embarking on a new midlife career of teaching and mentoring adults in ESL & literacy, and have a day job working for a nonprofit institute coordinating continuing medical education for health professionals. I have a grown daughter and 4 granddaughters (they don't live with me) - and my family means the world to me, as do friends. I'm have a pretty good idea of who I am, and what makes sense in life - the simple, real things that actually matter. Learning to live with less stuff and enjoying life more. Less interested in trying to impress anybody, and preferring the philosophy of live and let live, do no harm to others. When working on visual art I tend to hang out in my studio and need a bit of solitude. But I'm longing for a home life with a kind, grounded, affectionate man who is a good match: a creative or intellectual collaborator, a partner, someone to build and share a life with.
My worldview veers between very left of center to whatever seems sensible & humane. Favorite things: Amsterdam, Haarlem & Central Europe, Mexico & Guatemala, foreign/independent films, travel (and I travel light), learning new languages, anthropology & ethnography, museums & galleries, architecture & design, reading & designing books, spending time with family, simple meals shared with friends, horseback riding, prowling urban neighborhoods in search of great street art, restoring old buildings, fleamarkets, bookstores. Very eclectic musical tastes: Manu Chao & Mano Negra, Les Negresses Vertes, Ozomatli, Tom Waits, the Pixies, Django Reinhardt, Amadou & Mariam, Waylon & Willie, John Cage, Yann Tiersen, Kurt Weill, George Antheil, Eliades Ochoa. I grew up during the punk era and lived with musicians for awhile - this definitely colored my perception of life.
Since we can’t change the world, you have to look to the little revolutions you can bring to yourself, your family and the community you live in – I'm transitioning into a new career of TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and right now I'm slaving away at a Masters program & volunteer teach and tutor ESL to mostly Latino immigrants in my neighborhood. Lots of little ways to make the world a better off place than when we got here – want to join me? Current obsession while traveling is making illustrated journals on the road – at the moment it's more engaging than using a camera. As soon as I'm done with my coursework, I'd love to pursue new artistic avenues, doing mixed media & collage, maybe working with clay or blacksmithing. Oh, and I have serious tattoos if that matters (but I cover them when necessary). I’m hoping to find a tolerant guy with a warm heart, integrity, and great hands...someone I can cherish and respect. He would be in his 40s or 50s probably, and appreciates the desire to live a creative, active, useful life. A good sense of humor and positive outlook make things more fun. I like a man who is intelligent with good common sense - you don't need to put me up on a pedestal. Guys who can change a tire AND cook a great meal get my vote.
"This is the true joy in life - being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; being a force of nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy." - George Bernard Shaw
