Moved from Boston last year for a great new job, but left behind all close friends and family. Quite an adjustment back to apt living and needing to think about how to use my free time. Lucky that I'm in such an amazing corner of the world. I'm looking forward to making friends and exploring CA.

I'm basically an easy going guy...I've got a very good sense of humor, although a bit sarcastic at times, but down deep I'm just a softie at heart....even shed a tear during my favorite movie- Top Gun... :-)
My career/work revolves around aeronautics...although I did get my pilot's license at an early age it didnt work out professionally so I went the Engineering route, working for a Boeing subsidiary... I'm a pretty spontaneous guy, like to enjoy life not just watch in go by... I do like sports (sorry, it's a Y chromosome thing), participating as much as I can, staying active... I do love the outdoors, boating, fishing, or just chilling on the beach. Other things I like are home improvement, landscaping design, which is my next big project....Weekend trips to Tahoe, wine country also fun, Also like to cook, fine dining and exploring new restaurants is a lot of fun...and like many profiles I too like to travel, want to do more and more of that. I do accrue a lot of vacation time, own a few timeshares so that allows me a nice variety of places to go...and explore new ones...
I've had a great, healthy, succesful life so far, and do hope to carry that over to the next phase... Although in my fifties I still feel like a kid sometimes! Love to meet a person here who is fun, outgoing, a good conversationalist/communicator....you know that person who can finish that sentence for you! Witty dialogue over a glass of wine is always a good thing...OK that's probably enough for now...if interested please drop me a note...

Date men and women from United States. Friends consider me a good catch, so I guess it's time to put myself out here. I'm caring and affectionate, fun-loving with a sense of humor. I'm a down-to-earth person who enjoys being around those who are positive...life's too short for dwelling on negativity. I try to share my half-full glass with those who see it otherwise.
I love the outdoors--hiking, walking my canine buddy, strolls on the beach (how awesome is the power of the ocean!), watching baseball (my son's college team and SF Giants), road trips along the coast, art/wine festivals. I recently discovered hiking yoga, which was beautiful in Woodside's Wunderlich Park--hiking amidst the redwoods, then striking a pose. I'd like to start cycling more, as it's a rejuvenating way to enjoy the outdoors. I'm drawn to being near water, be it the ocean, lakes or rivers. Grew up in the Midwest by the lakes. .
I love my kids and am so proud of the wonderful individuals they've become. Currently supporting both in their collegiate sport as one of their biggest fans.
Being independent for a while now, I'm ready for a partner in life again. I miss having someone that I can talk to about the day's events, to experience new adventures together, to inspire and challenge each other, to exchange shoulder rubs and all that follows...
