I try to do some sort of exercise most every day even if it is just some sit-ups or a short hike up the hill near my house in Gilroy. I am about 1/2" under 6' and 185# and pretty average looking but I won't mind if you disagree!. I do like women who take good care of themselves as well, and I love the feminine curves! (yes muscles on women can be feminine curves) You should have at least one RECENT photo giving some impression of your figure. I personally prefer women who are not too small from the hips down and not too big from the waist up. I am not one who likes to lounge around for several hours doing nothing, I don't mind watching a movie now and then but need to balance that with actually doing stuff not just being a spectater.
I am hoping to find a good-hearted lady who is honest, easy going, appreciative and a good communicator. The type of woman who is smart, funny and sexxy just by being herself. I find the "perfectly flawless" look kinda boring...

Being outdoors especially hiking and taking photos in nature keeps me connected and hopefully I will meet someone who feels the same. I have always had a strong connection to the environment and to animals. I was environmentally conscious long before I ever heard the term! I have been composting since 1974.
Oh yeah... My friends often introduce me as "the gourmet chef" because of all the unique meals I have made for them over the years. I generally start with what is ripe in the garden and build from there. Never a recipe and I still have them fooled!

Date single man from California, United States. I enjoy helping people with projects around the house. I try not to dwell on the bad things in life, but accept them as learning experiences. I used to enjoy country-western dancing, but it has been sooo long that it would take a while to get comfortable with it again. I enjoy a variety of card games, Pinochle being on the top of the list. I'm a reserved/shy person (not a social butterfly), but if you get me talking then I'm ok.
I spent 20 years in the Navy (which I enjoyed most every minute of), met lots of great people, traveled to places that I would never have seen any other way, most of them I didn't even know existed. I took advantage of the opportunities I was presented to visit Japan, Phillipines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Korea, Thailand, Hawaii, Germany, Netherland, England, Kenya, France, and several ports in the Caribbean. We once went into some of the fjords in Alaska during the time glaciers were breaking off and splashing into the bay waters.
Like so many people, I'm looking for that special person that I can share life experiences with, expecting most of them to be good, but it is the difficult ones that make you stronger when you make it through. I have some great qualities to present to that special person, some not so great that I'm working on improving. What I know I'm fairly patient to try and teach, but I know there is a lot for me to learn, so hopefully you have patience also.

I have lived in big cities (East Coast, Bay Area) and now live in the country on a small ranch. I have travelled to many parts of the world and have a personal and political philosophy that is more global than national. We like day trips to SF or Monterey, we spend at least a week camping or backpacking in the Sierra's in the summer, and we try to take a big trip each year (DC, Florida, Southwest, Hawaii, Boston). I have a career and job that I love. I commute 45 minutes to the hospital where I work, but before I leave each day I feed the horses and chickens and get the kids off to school.
