- The last 7 generations and i were born on a pristine peninsula in South East Asia.
- A country in South East Asia actually believes I am Asian and decided to issue a passport in my name. Who knows what they were smoking, back in the 70s.
- I speak 6 South East Asian languages, with perfect enunciation and accent. I am more Asian than all these "Asian" goons running around here who claim they are 'Asian' but can't speak a word of an Asian language and the gullible plonkers (British slang, of course and not the American definition) who actually believe them.
- I can cook any South East Asian dish from scratch. Yes, it is true, what they say about Asian restaurants here so i refrain from eating at one. Curious?
- I have an amazing tan as I had to walk to the well to get water as a kid, back in the day when child labor was not such an important international human rights issue. Where were these reporters when I was a kid? I could have used the publicity.
Now that I have convinced you that I am Asian, here's a little more 'not so Asian' features about me;
Educated, lived and worked (in the world of mergers and acquisition - based out of a European capital) in a few countries around the world. Only continent left is South America
Schooled in the UK and the States with some years in a South East Asian country. Scholarships dictated which schools i had to go to. Yes, i'm whip smart :-)
I am now a clinician, working at a nonprofit, with the underprivileged and incarcerated population in the federal and state prison system. Have 2 successful practices in the city as well as in Rockridge. I work extremely hard from 7am till 10pm, 3 days a week and have the luxury of having a 4 DAY WEEKEND. Yes, i'm aware my life ROCKS!
I laugh 99% of things off. Always smiling and laughing.
When my sister, mum and I get together, we can laugh for 3 hours straight. All our American family members leave us to it as it looks like we are having an asthma attack; we are unable to breathe between the laughter, nurse a belly that hurts and the tears.
I am extremely positive, happy and fulfilled in life that people who have drama in theirs, do not get attracted to me or my energy.
Know how to pick my battles and do not sweat the small stuff. When things do not work out for me after many tries, I am good at bowing out gracefully and walking away with my head held high.

Ultimate goal: To change the mandatory death sentence nonsense in South East Asian countries, for drug trafficking. Originally from Brazil I can honestly say now that this is home. My Brazilian culture and heritage are and will always be a big part of who I am though. What also means I still have and always will have a strong accent. Be ready to deal with that!
I work as an architect and am very passionate about what I do. I love to create beautiful environments and to be surrounded by beautiful things. The feeling of bringing ideas to life is amazing and addicting. And it goes from a wall decor composition to a complete new house passing to a beautiful way to display a dessert. Yes, I cook and love it and always use it as an excuse to have my friends over. But don't expect a chef in the kitchen, only really tasteful homey food.
After a back injury few years ago, I have decided to take my body to another level and have been running half marathons and one full (it hurts, but you will forget the pain as soon as you cross the finish line!), doing triathlons, open water swimming and have found so much fun and met amazing people along the way. Now trail running got me hooked!

Although I am originally from the East Coast, I lived in San Francisco years ago and have missed it ever since I left. Now that I have the flexibility with my career to live anywhere, I finally made it back and I am thrilled to be here again! I love the outdoorsy lifestyle and the overall vibe of the Bay Area.
I'm most in my element when I'm outside doing something active. Some of my favorite outdoor activities include trail running on Mt. Tam in Marin, hiking along the coast with my dog, mountain biking the Slickrock Trail in Moab, climbing Half Dome in Yosemite National Park, trekking through Norway, paddling class 5 river rapids on the Gauley River in West VA, and cycling through SE Asia.
Athletics and team sports were a huge part of my life from grade school through college, and my love of sports has continued in the form of following NBA basketball (Go Lakers!), running marathons (over 15), voluntarily subjecting myself to 90 minute intense workouts in a room heated to 105 degrees (Bikram yoga), and pick-up floor hockey with my nephews.
Some things I like (in no particular order): bluegrass music, dogs, Barack Obama, good food and wine, Patagonia athletic apparel, Coen Brothers films, lavender, ferns, tropical beaches, long summer days, Nutella and raspberry crepes, and espresso
Things I dislike: people who litter, hypocrisy, preparing tax returns, bad drivers, the smell of tequila, name droppers, narrow mindedness, excessive text messaging, and mayonnaise
