Meet someone special from United States. I'm going to start with what I think my friends would say about me. They would say that I'm thoughtful, kind, funny and outgoing. That I work at a great company, but they don't really know what I do..something about advertising and the internet.. and that I love traveling. Like many people in the city, I work in the internet/tech/design industry. I've been practicing yoga for the past six years and it is a huge part of my life, along with meditation. I lead a pretty simple life. I don't have a long list of requirements for someone I'd like to date. I'm pretty much just looking for a smart, educated and really kind guy, who's not often in a bad mood.
To give you a snapshot of my life and interests, here's a random list of some things I've done so far this summer:

-Did a lot of reading. Right now, I'm in the middle of the Great Gatsby, which I've put down and picked up quite a few times. I like to read a variety of different things; usually more nonfiction. I really like history.
-Took lots of naps in the sun on my back patio. Wearing tons of sunscreen! (I'm pretty pale.)
These things notwithstanding, it's really not important to me that we have lots of mutual interests or hobbies. I'm much more interested in finding someone who I just like as a person.
Here are a few more substantial things about me:
-I'm a stable person; I have a job I enjoy, and I'm not into spending a lot of money on material things.

-I like to donate (sometimes time, sometimes money) to causes that are important to me.

I'm originally from the East Coast and have been living in San Francisco for over four years. As popular as the "online dating" phenomenon is these days, I still find it a bit bizarre that everything you could possibly want/need (including dates!) is online. Last year I got myself into triathlons and love the sprint distance races.
