Date someone special from San Francisco, United States. Hi!
I love living in San Francisco and consider it home despite growing up in Chicago and living in Austin, Boston, and NYC before moving here. I travel often for work, but I especially love to travel for fun. (I just got back from two weeks in Scandinavia and am already plotting my next adventure.) I do actually go hiking with friends. I love dining out and trying new restaurants. I love, love, love throwing parties at home. Almost nothing makes me happier than cooking for people I love. I like museums, dive bars, wine bars, and live music. (And serial commas.) I like being active and enjoy staying in shape.
What else can I tell you? I'm not one to follow rules blindly. I'm always up for an adventure. I love my job and laugh hard - really hard - at work every single day. I also have a blog that chronicles my love for all things homemade, especially food. The last thing I posted about was making Salted Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies. In the blog-writing queue are recipes for carnitas, a blueberry pie, and The Perfect BLT. I'm also working on making my ideal granola. After much trial and semi-error, I think I'm one batch away from perfection. Yum.
A few more random tidbits about me:
-I have absolutely no interest in celebrity gossip magazines or sites.
-On rare occasions when I'm in a bad mood, I cheer myself up by looking at the "Labs Available" on the Labrador Retriever Rescue site.
-I can't say no to cheese. Cheese makes everything better.
-I love a good game of Texas Hold 'Em.
-The workout mix on my shuffle includes some seriously embarrassing pop music.
-Sundays during football season are some of my favorite days of the year.
Oh, and since it seems to come up often on Match - my Myers-Briggs is ENTJ.
Meet a soulmate from San Francisco, United States. Let's skip the intro sentence and get to the good stuff. I'm on this site, seeking that indescribable connection. Here's a little snapshot of me and who I'm looking for...
I am sincere, intellectually-curious, kind, light-hearted, playful and driven by adventure. I was raised in a small town in Southern California, but have lived in the Bay Area for several years. I'm hard working and have a challenging career, so I bring balance and peace to my life by staying active (yoga, climbing, running) and being outdoors -- yes, the usual Bay Area cliches, but there's nothing wrong with that :) Traveling is a big passion of mine--it invigorates me and I enjoy experiencing new cultures, foods, and world historical sites. But feeling connected to home is important too. I like cozy places where I can cook, create new recipes, relax with my dog, and unwind with good company. My relationships with my family and friends are paramount, and I have an awesome, inspiring family.
About you...
A man with strong character, who is honest, fun, loyal, genuine, kind, passionate, and confident, with a touch of courage. Someone who smiles easily and has a sense of humor. Someone who enjoys the fine things in life, but who is not defined by his material possessions, but by the depth of his character. Someone who values relationships with family and friends. Someone with an established career and who works hard, but knows how to stay balanced.
And last but not least, someone who wants to travel the world...with me perhaps!
Date a woman from San Francisco, United States. I am physically fit and very concerned with fitness and wellness in both myself and those that I care about. I am very well educated and knowledgeable in many subjects from life to quantum mechanics. My perfect match should be honest and intelligent enough to realize that if he's not, I'll know anyway.
Meet someone special from California, United States. ME: Fun. Full of life. Smart. "Refreshing." Successful…with gumption, compassion, and energy to spare.
YOU: Active. Confident. A troublemaker in the best way. Value family, friends, and all that is possible in life with initiative and a smile.
WE: Talk vs. text (unless planning), make date-like adventures, and are our awesome genuine selves out the gate so we know if it's a fit. Easy peasy...
ThereРІР‚в„ўs more but this is a launching point. If interested, send me an email already and let's banter. Best of luck out there.
Date a soulmate from California, United States. I appreciate a man who takes care of himself physically and has a sense of style. Intelligence is sexy. Manners and honesty go a long way with me and are a turn on (chivalry is not dead!). The right man for me will be rewarded with my loyalty and affection.
As for myself, I'm a fine arts new media design student (translated: web front end/mobile/digital media production from a fine arts perspective). I was working in various fields for the past decade, including 3D virtual world community development and hiding out in a dedicated server/colo ISP datacenter, before deciding it would be better to help people before things were broken (design) instead of after (support). Giving up work to further my education was a difficult choice, but I know it will be worth it. The relatively flexible schedule to pursue this turns out to be a luxury.
You should message me if you're interested in design, tech, and healthy living, while keeping in the mind the larger picture of people and how we fit in the world. Does what we do benefit others? Is it worthwhile?
Also, please don't message me if you're not ultimately looking for a relationship. I just don't have the time or willingness to be a pretty diversion or validating ego boost for a few days/weeks/months.
Meet a woman from California, United States. I am a former sixth grade teacher, now school librarian. Still relatively new to my profession, I am trying to figure it all out and read every children's book ever written (that's not going so well). My job can be fun though - who can say that they've played H.O.R.S.E. with a 1st grader on the basketball court at work? I can, and yes, I lost.
I also should disclose that I am a native Floridian. I know that's strange and rare. Being from Florida has taught me about good air conditioning, sweet tea, Cuban food, and most importantly, having a healthy sense of humor about myself. Despite what you read, Florida is not all bad, so I appreciate it for what it is and try to never visit in the summer.
For fun, I really enjoy spending time with my friends. Sure, I like to travel/drink wine/eat out/hike just a much as the next person, but most of all I enjoy talking with my friends while doing funny or interesting things with them. Even with a healthy social life, I value alone time and independence. And I watch a little more tv than I'd like to admit.
You should write me if you are similarly interested in people, a good conversationalist, and comfortable with making a fool of yourself (perhaps while singing karaoke), because we might have something in common!
Date someone special from United States. To know who I am you have to spend time with me. But if you want a preview: I'm often playful but rarely silly. I'm spiritual and sensual. I have a zest for life and I love being a woman. I'm a fantastic storyteller. I laugh a lot. I can't seem to drive a stick shift but I'm great company on a roadtrip. I'm a hard worker, but I always balance it out. I believe in integrity, stewardship, and tenets of interconnectedness.
If that little blurb leaves you unsatisfied and you want to know the lowdow right now, I guess I'd have to speak to my focus on self-awareness. I'm that person who's going to consciously engage what's going on in my head, my heart, and my body and refine them all. I've had extensive exposure to many wisdom traditions, and enjoy the life tools they offer. I belive that we create our experiences, and I live accordingly. Believe it or not, that's a large part of what gives me my laughter. When you encounter that uncomfortable place and instead of running away charge right into the eye of storm, you come out not only with a greater sense of happiness, but a lot of amusement. I'm also big on balance, which sometimes manifests in my ability to surprise people. I majored in dance in college; but also economics. I attend gala events, but was a wicked, professional hip-hop dancer. I can speak eloquently about philosophy, love, and culture, and then turn on cartoons. I can make a run out to Home Depot for a drill, and then come home and curl up like a little, soft kitten in my man's arms. Getting a picture?
What I'm looking for is, ultimately, a life partner in the truest sense of the term. I'm totally open to having a friendship first - I'm not running a race. I'm a strong woman, so that best speaks to a smart, grounded, self-assured man. You know, the kind of man who sees clearly what I'm about, and who - among other things - can enjoy that other men may look at me when we walk into a room together. I'll add more to this later as thoughts arise...
Meet a soulmate from United States. Sporty. Sassy. A little bit granola and a whole lot of heart. Country girl with a worldly perspective and zest for life. Family and friends are my everything. Socially conscientious and passionate about making a difference. Likes to boogie.
Spent the past year living/working overseas in the country that was defeated by Spain in the semi- finals at the Euro Cup '12 (bonus points if you know!) and recently moved back to Cali. I surround myself with meaningful relationships and my closest friends would describe me as free-spirited, fiercly loyal, independent. I'm constantly striving to learn new things- a challenging new yoga pose, painting on canvas, how to roll sushi, or a novel strategy in helping a child with special needs. Reading at a coffee shop, nerding out at home watching the Daily Show, or sweating it out on an adventurous trail run is where you might find me. My international travels have shaped who I am. I have a penchant for tasty sauces, seasonal soups, iced coffee, and sugar-free fruity gum. I was married for a very brief period (less than a year) almost a decade ago and think of it as an asset and learning/ growing experience. Always remembering to say "thank you"-- you will be reminded often of how much you are appreciated.
About you: Somewhat old fashioned, you still insist on opening my door or giving me the fleece jacket off your back on a chilly evening. You're intellectually curious about the world around you, likely a Times junkie and can discuss the latest debate on immigration laws or the new medical developments in sharkskin technology. Telling funny stories or quoting movies that I probably haven't seen (no matter) makes me giggle-- which isn't hard to do! Maybe you like to geek out to NPR or dabble with a musical instrument and don't mind listening to my latest rendition of a Miranda Lambert cover. You are fun-loving and enjoy planning a day hiking trip or bike excursion with a few leisurely stops to picnic lunch and play a game of mini-chess. You are committed to what you believe in and hope to make the world a better place. You're grateful for what you've been given, and genuinely like yourself because you live with integrity. Physical affection comes easy and you are open and honest about your dreams, fears, and not afraid of real intimacy. We challenge and inspire one another to be the best version of ourselves possible while laughing a lot along the way. We make a great team.
Date a woman from United States. Blessed with close family and friends who I love spending time with. Simple person with a curiosity about the world and would love to see all of it. Grew up in LA and moved to SF after college and am still here because this place is just too awesome. Did an overseas stint in Asia for a few years which came with lots of amazing travels and adventures. Always up to try new things. Loves the city but also enjoys a break from it. Active lifestyle--running, swimming, biking. Appreciates tasty food, crazy laughter, thoughtful conversations, and heart-warming company. Would love to meet someone with an adventurous spirit!
. About me........
I enjoy life. i have a real passion for cooking, and all things food related- whether it is making food, entertaining, going out to eat, etc. I love camping and weekends away enjoying all that California has to offer. I also enjoy wine tasting, as long as it's not pretentious. My friends are so important to me. I love dancing- everything from salsa, jazz, hip hop, i just love it all. Well maybe not polka :) I laugh loud and often and I'm just fine with that. I was born and raised in San Francisco, so i'm pretty liberal. I'm a great tour guide and can plan great dates. I love Giant's games, watching football, wearing dresses, love sunshine and a bit of snuggling. I'll make you chicken noodle soup if you're sick, cookies for no reason and knit you a scarf if you're cold.
You are..........
I would like to meet someone to have the best time with, whether we are cooking together, watching a movie, enjoying the outdoors, or lounging on the couch. I like someone who makes me laugh and someone who can laugh at himself, that is important. I deserve to be treated well, so someone that respects me and makes me feel special is important. I'm very independent, but i also like to be taken care of. I like it when you order for me at dinner. A good foot rub and a night at home, homemade meal and nice glass of wine- or some great mission tacos and a cold beer, both constitute great date nights. I love dates and romance. I believe chivalry is not dead, and a girl always loves getting flowers. In short, I want someone who I can enjoy these things with.
I'll treat you well, make you laugh, and make you dinner.
. I am a quick witted, intelligent, sweet, sincere, fun (& funny) girl who loves listening to music, going to shows, going to hockey games, watching movies, hanging out with friends, trying new restaurants, traveling and collecting PEZ. I love most things vintage & though I'm not stuck in the past I definitely like to dabble in it from time to time.
I do not have a specific 'type' of guy that I like but overall I am looking for a guy with a sense of humor, interesting things to say, makes me smile, responsible and easy to get along with.
. In a nutshell, I am a glass-half-full, tree-hugging ninja, seeking a partner-in-crime.
What does that mean, exactly? Well, I am an optimist by nature, typically seeking to find the silver lining in any given situation, but can be a realist/pragmatist when needed.
I am a "tree-hugger" -- both figuratively and literally (Yes, I am known for spontaneously hugging trees when out and about -- see pic). I am a sustainability consultant, which means that I work with large corporations on being more environmentally and socially responsible. I love what I do -- it's so fulfilling to get paid to bring your passion to work everyday and further the causes you care so much about. In my efforts both inside and outside of the office, I try to promote awareness and action around environmentalism and social justice.
And the ninja part? Well, yes, I am keenly interested in Asian cultures and the martial arts, but really, that means that I am a very active, "carpe diem" kind of person. I'm constantly striving to go out and learn and experience new things. Whether traveling to exotic places faraway, immersing myself in new cultures, or just being a tourist in my own city. I'm really into the arts nature: independent music and film, a total foodie, and exploring the beauty of the outdoors on foot and on my beloved bicycle.
And lastly, the partner-in-crime part? Well, I learned long ago that “sharing is caring.” And I think life is just that much more fun when spent in good company. I am blessed with a great set of close friends and family, but am now looking for a trusty partner-in-crime to share my interests and life experiences with.
After spending my "formative years" in TX, NYC and Spain, my job has taken me to DC, TX, and now SF, though my travels and generally nomadic ways mean I'm frequently on the go. So, I'm always looking to meet cool new people in whatever area I may find myself in (just now relocated to the Bay Area, and am eager to meet cool new folks to show me around the Bay in all of its quirky glory. :)).
