Date a woman from United States. What sets me apart (in a nutshell): Dedication to life-long growth and a witty sense of humor that is never ill-natured, an overload of intellectual curiosity, unfailing optimism despite being old enough to know better. I find that a sense of humor is essential to a healthy life. I think I have a geeky edge -- hopefully in a sexy way? And although I do own several pairs of strappy high heels, I haven't given up my Chucks quite yet :)
When I am not working at a job in San Francisco that I enjoy, I enjoy gardening, listening/dancing to most live music, playing games (crosswords, cards, board games), learning about and traveling to new cultures and baking/cooking. Good old-fashioned home cooking.
I have had several interesting careers for mission-driven organizations, hold two advanced degrees and have spent months on end backpacking through enchanted and dangerous lands. Laos and Nepal top the list! On the local front, I'd love to revisit Tassajara, Orr Hot Springs, Esalen and ski slopes in Tahoe. I am ready for the next chapter in the book of life.
Who I'd like to meet: You're are a friendly, evolved soul who is very comfortable with all aspects of your personality (including your "shadow side") and are secure enough to communicate with honesty. You probably have boyish good looks and find that giving and receiving physical touch comes naturally. Green means something to you other than a color. You want to build your next relationship into the partnership of your lifetime through the role of best friend, playmate, husband and insatiable lover. People who do not enjoy televised pro sports, second-hand smoke or industrialized food (factory farm meat, etc.) don't irk you. Living on a dramatic cliff next to the ocean, in a cute Craftsman surrounded by cool neighbors or on a hobby farm somewhere rural captures your imagination. You have the tenacity, patience, wisdom and humor to stay connected in an intimate relationship through a bad conversation or bad day, knowing that it's the journey that's important.
