The explorer in me contemplates my next adventure based on how long my current weird vaccinations are good for. I love learning about people so I'll probably ask you a million questions about every little thing... that's the nosy writer in me. :) I enjoy most of the things I'm doing right now: writing, reading, catching up on all my TV shows. I'm in graduate school at State getting a degree in Creative Writing, have a novel to finish, a poetry manuscript to revise and so many places I want to go out to in the city.

Well, I believe an important thing to know about me is that I am very positive. I believe that what we think and profess is powerful, so I always try to stay conscious of my words and actions. I have a good sense of humor. I am open, kind, fun-loving, passionate and resourceful.
Being a great mom to my 2 young children is the most rewarding (and challenging) aspect of my life.
I also love to stay active with daily activities of hiking, long walks, lifting weights, some running, dancing (mostly in my living room), etc. I am a good communicator. I have often been told that it doesn't take much to make me happy because small gestures of kindness and thoughtfulness mean the world to me.
I am not looking for a casual hook up, if thats ultimately all you are looking for do not bother responding to my profile.

. I'm the outgoing type, so I might as well admit that up front. I'll strike up conversations with strangers on a street corner, dealers in Tenderloin, tourists in the Ferry Building, anyone with a dog--it's all fine with me because life just wouldn't be much fun without a little color. I think I get it from having traveled a lot and realizing that a great personality can be found in the most unlikely places, and sure enough, time and again, it's proven to be true.
I'm active and like to bike, walk, do yoga, go hiking, etc. It's nice to just get out for a change of scenery so I'm not too fussy as long as I'm with good company. That said, I'm sure I have my high maintenance moments! But generally I'm up for anything and I really appreciate someone who takes initiative.
There's a long laundry list of places I'd like to travel in addition to the places I've already been so I suppose it's best to keep that passport handy, and wow, if you have a backgammon board next to that handy passport, even better.
All 'stuff' and travel aside though, I'd like to meet and be with someone whom I have fun with, and can banter with, and have great physical chemistry with, and who can forgive me for ending sentences with the word 'with'.

. Alrighty now...originally from the Midwest, I'm laid back and low maintenance and loyal. I don't take myself too seriously (think Clark Griswald), love to laugh (can find the humor in most everything), witty, loyal and very social. I have a no non-sense, positive outlook and feel its important to always have some goal to strive for, whatever that might be.
On the weekends, I love being outside (I think it's because I work in an office during the week) and being active, such as camping, hiking, swimmming, pilates, and I am always up for an adventure, to try something new. I love stumbling upon new places without a map.
What am I looking for? Obviously there needs to be a mutual attraction and chemistry. However cliche as it sounds, I want someone who makes me laugh. I?m also looking for someone who is confident, smart, a straight-shooter and leads a healthy, productive and full life. Someone who loves the outdoors and travel is a MUST. Golfing with me would be a bonus (I'm a beginner). I like a "guy's guy" - NOT the SF/metro type - it's not going to work if you have nicer jeans than me ;) Someone who loves going to sporting events but can also hang with my gals at, gasp... a wine bar.
