Me in 2012: excercise almost every day, yoga about 4 times per week, meditation twice a day (brand new), go with my instincts about how i want to live my life every day and ignore bad advice that contradicts it. Travel (preferably with somebody I meet), practice rapping old rap songs and making videos of it for fun, growing my hair longer (for fun), read more, watch awesome tv shows more (just caught up on dexter, now watching deadwood, loved the wire, mad men, and ummm New Girl --- just being honest, she is funny), see more live music, eat healthy, ramp up all of the above and stay focused.I checked the no drinking box above and that is my intention as being healthy is what makes me feel best, but an occasional glass of wine with a meal or special occasion is not something i will always pass on. This may sound boring or serious, but I'm actually very witty, sarcastic, playful, immature about some things, not really into politics and some "important things" like that, and am downright hysterically funny at certain key moments. I'm calm by nature and don't get upset at people in my life unless they deserve it. I go to sleep early and wake up ridiculously early for work (4am). I grew up in the DC area, and have lived in both NYC and LA (liked both). I dream of getting a meaningful and/or ridiculous tattoo but will never do it most likely.

I work at a bank, and like certain things about it, and also hate certain things about it. My dream (apart from the tattoo thingie) would be to do something creative for a living. I enjoy writing and think it's a shame that I'm not an excellent musician due to lack of effort to play one since i was a kid. I think outside the box and have grown stronger and stronger about my convictions about my own values, no matter how much they differ from what may be expected for "typical" people of my background, career, or anything else.
My dream as it pertains to meeting somebody would be to figure out a more interesting way to live my life. I am not looking to commit to a lifestyle of corporate america living with somebody for the next 20 years, although I also will not completely rule it out if it's the best option in a given situation. This is one of the reasons I'm glad I've waited to commit to somebody, so that I had time to understand these things about myself.
I am very interested in going deeper and deeper and learning more and more about myself and interested in finding somebody who understands that and feels the same and wants to share. Independent lives shared together is the only kind of relationship i'd ever believe in, and that doesnt mean a certain amount of time physically apart necessarily. It just means each person continues to grow as an individual while in a relationship.
I consider myself a realist.
