I could tell you that I'm a vegan, startup entrepreneur with a gluten allergy and a mission hipster stache who actually lives in the marina because of the irony of it, but that would only be the smallest percentage of true.
What is true is that I'm a pretty happy guy living in Hayes Valley trying to fill time with great people and experiences. This year I'm trying a bunch of things for the first time (no, not that!) like playing my first gig and editing a new SF neighborhood blog. I'm not really shy and have no problem starting conversations with strangers. Sometimes the things you find out just from asking can be amazing. I'd like to think I'm educated, kind, and funny. You'll have to figure out if I'm right about that all of that.
I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty. I can change my own oil and think I can fix anything if I have the right tools (Just last week I was fixing my garage door, became trapped and was rescued by an elderly woman and her dog. She was sweet and very strong. I found out I can't fix garage doors).
Some random bits: I love being outdoors and trail running. Testing myself physically keeps me young and the joints lubricated! I can cook almost anything as long as I have a recipe. Its all about following directions, right? Writing and recording songs allows me to be creative beyond my day job. I've been working on the same song for two weeks because sometimes they write themselves in a day but mostly, they don't. I can talk about the European Debt Crisis (hopefully, you don't really want to talk about that).
I'm an freelance Art Director by trade. I can design things. Some things are better than others, but no two things are alike. It's been a great career that's taken me around the country and the world. I got to work with Lou Reed earlier in the year. It was awkward. I introduced myself, and he cursed me then he yelled at my crew just before he started baby talking to his little dog. I still don't know what to think of it all.
