Date a man from Grass Valley, United States. Hi! After writing and rewriting my bio I realized that what we're talking about first is simply meeting for coffee, right?
So...my politics are liberal, I'm not religious, I occasionally drink something stronger than coffee, and I enjoy all types of food (though I donate to the HFA to fight factory farm animal abuses, check them out). Oh, and I have two grown children that I couldn't be more proud of and I maintain a wonderful friendship with their mom. If you like what you read and see in the profile let's get together at a Starbucks and find out what else we have in common. I don't mind driving a long way, it's far better to be inconvenienced and find the right person. Besides, the drive gets shorter when it's worth it, and then there is the anticipation.... Or email and we'll chat it up.
The photos are from a month to 3 years old (except the snowmobile, that's 6 years ago from a cell phone). I'm for Truth in Advertising: please also have reasonably current photos. Having said that, checking "salt and pepper" to describe my hair color might be a little, well...let's just say I'm salty. Thanks for taking a look and good luck out there.
Meet a soulmate from Grass Valley, United States. I am a stable and well grounded person, and am comfortable with my life. I feel that it would be that much more enjoyable sharing it with the right person. I have a great sense of humor and a quick wit. I like making people laugh, and am not above laughing at myself, I'm very personable, fun and easy going. I value honesty and integrity above all else. I'm looking for someone that I can build a relationship with built on mutual trust and understanding.
I've spent the past 23 years working for a government institution and am looking forward to a well-deserved retirement in the next few years. I also have a secondary career that is both demanding and exciting.
I grew up in the Bay Area, but have lived in the foothills for the past 11 years and enjoy everything about living in the country.
I listed my political view as conservative, because I lean more that way, mostly on fiscal matters. I make up my own mind on political issues and research both sides before taking a position on them. I respect opinions that are different than mine.
I enjoy spending time in the outdoors, but also have a passion for cars. I have a classic, which I've owned for 30 years, and a fun car for weekend trips. I also enjoy home improvement projects and can do most everything except heavy electrical work. I've expanded my garden each year. Cooking is a favorite pasttime, and nothing beats fresh cut vegetables from the garden.
I am a guitar player and musician, and have received several questions about my involvement in it. I don't currently play in an active band, but do enjoy playing in a couple of local jam sessions around town. It's low pressure stuff, only for enjoyment. I gave up my dreams of being a rock star 30 years ago.

Meet someone special from Grass Valley, United States. I work hard for what I have and these days it gets harder all the time. I'm not looking for Angelina Jolie, because I'm not Brad Pitt, but I try to take care of myself and looking for someone who does the same, I guess, who knows?
I try and do the right thing because kharma seems to be real, and treating people the way you want to be treated I've learned can go a long way.
