Life is good and I have no real complaints. I worked hard and retired fairly early. I have an active life, and I'm pretty good on my own although that's just what's happened for the past 15 years, but definitely not my first choice. I still have time for friends and my own interests without kids although those kids (2 daughters adopted at birth), still remain among the very top items of my "important" list. Somehow at 25 and almost 23,,, I'm no longer the center of their universe , and I agree. One of our biggest jobs as parents is to give them the skills necessary to leave us.
My friends (and myself also) describe me as funny, bright, articulate, caring, sensitive, even borderline handsome! I enjoy travel, cycling, reading, movies and music, theatre and museums, camping and fishing, (no gun/bullet related sports), friends and friendships, and especially just being anyplace with the woman I love. I love being "out and about" but I also do very well just hanging out at home. I was/am an architect by degree, and a builder by State License and I'm pretending to be retired since 8/02. My days as a workaholic are done.I've been called the funniest man in the world more than once. (Not sure about that,,, but maybe top 10?). You hopefully have a life and interests of your own but just itching to put me on your top priority list. I'll do some things I'd normally not do just to please you and see how happy it makes you. Chemistry is important too. And chemistry is NOT just a pretty face. It's that combination of physical, mental, and emotional that makes us wonder how we managed to get along so long without each other. It's more important that we just plain ol' like to do almost anything with each other. But I do want someone that is as caring as I am, as concerned about his mate as I am, open and available as I am, and ready for long term relationship/marriage. I'm creative, expressive, allegedly clever and funny, and emotional. Most all the Buzz words. I have a really darn-well o.k. life!! I'm rarely bored and I have a wide variety of interests and friends. You should have the same. Let's do lots of things together and some things apart,,, that's fine too. Sometimes things are fast and sometimes slow- both are o.k at different times. Some key attributes would be trustworthy/monogamous, fun, intelligent, kind, focused, caring, and ME as a major priority! Simple eh? Some of my friends say that "things" happen to me that don't happen to other people. Maybe that's because I'm comfortable with eclectic/different and don't expect my special lady to be a duplicate of me. But "crazy or weird" does scare me. Race and religion are not important to me as long as you don't try to convert me... The Golden Rule is my religion.
