Date someone special from California, United States. I retired at age 60 and am financially stable. I am looking to meet someone who is a bit younger than I am (perhaps 55 to 63), lives locally and is also financially stable.
I am very family oriented and have 3 great sons. I would prefer someone that really enjoys being a woman with all the magic that includes and feels as I do that romance does not have to be something you just read about in a book. Honesty and a good sense of humor are vital to any relationship.
A little about me. I was born in San Francisco and went to school there all the way thru college at SF State. Moved to Pleasant Hill to raise the family and worked most of my career in the downtown financial district. Started a business and moved it to Walnut Creek. Retired in 2006. Divorced in 2012. I traveled a lot in business and now prefer to travel locally. Lake Tahoe, Carmel , Grass Valley, cities up and down our coast are all great destinations.
I enjoy going to the gym almost every day for the exercise and also to visit with friends. My favorite restaurants are usually Italian, Asian or Mexican and I like to try new places. I also like cooking at home. My “few extra pounds” seem to come and go as a result. Reading, movies, taking short trips overnight are also things I like to do.
The picture of me at the bar with my glass half full and the one in the window are current and were taken by my son with his phone this year. The photos of our vacation in Alaska are 2 or 3 years old but we all still look about the same. The beards on the boys come and go.
I hope an initial friendship will lead to something more but I am in no rush and only time will tell. If it doesn’t, then at least we both made a friend. Please share your current photos on this site and also live within a reasonable distance.
