I am independent, self contained, perfectly happy to cook for myself and friends and, heck, even do the laundry and clean house. (However, I don't do windows.)

I have a wonderful, but small, dysfunctional family.....we do put the "fun" in dysfunctional. Great kids (out of the nest) and ex's (definitely out of the nest) with whom I still have a friendship, although they are not necessarily in my life.
I enjoy entertaining folks, particularly those who are happy and content in themselves. I like 'happy people' and making people happy. A smile is such a wonderful thing. It brightens the room and other's lives. Life is way too short for anger, hostility and resentment.
I love good food, good wine ( no swill....please), cooking with friends, the escape of a great book, working out in the gym, the serenity of the beach and intelligent conversation. No bigots, right wing neo Nazis or people on a 'soap box'......please. I am a voracious reader of a whole bunch of popular fiction authors. I love to eat healthy.
