I enjoy the outdoors, golf, fishing, oldies rock and roll and some country western. I also enjoy short day trips by car just to get out and enjoy the weather and other people. Lake Tahoe is my most favorite place on earth, other than my home.
I enjoy socializing and dining with friends whenever the opportunity presents itself. Although retired, I seem to have no problem staying quite busy with a demanding hobby, keeping a home and property, and caring for my dog and cats. I am highly involved in auto racing on paved oval short tracks throughout northern california. I highly enjoy the technical and mechanical aspect of racing but also enjoy driving my racecars. If you don't like animals, please don't waste both our time.
The majority of my friends are several years younger than I and tell me that I don't act my age. I am still trying to get use to the freedom that comes with retirement and especially the spontaneity afforded when the only schedule to keep is your own. I'm looking for that special friend to share the activities of my life and expand my horizons by sharing her interests and favorite things. I feel that there is something to be learned from each and every person we meet in life as long as we take the time to pay attention. My potential friend and partner must be a few years younger than me because most my age can't keep up and I feel strongly that just because we are getting older, doesn't mean we have to act old.
