On the other hand I love going out to listen to live music of all kinds from the classical to rock and roll, but most especially Jazz.
As a practicing psychiatrist, a Jungian Psychoanalyst specializing in long term psychotherapy rather than drug treatments, and with a deep interest in the Unconscious, I have been invited to be a consultant at several contemporary Psychedelic Music festivals both in the U.S. (Burning Man) and abroad (Boom, Portugal) helping folks through difficult "bad trips" without resort to medications.
I have travelled extensively in Europe and Asia, including several treks in the India and Nepal Himalayas. I speak French almost fluently after a few weeks in Paris, and I can get by in Italian as well. I love hiking between the hill towns of Tuscany in the Spring.
Although not religious, I practice Vipassana meditation somewhat regularly and I deeply respect Buddhist Philosophy and values.
