Date a soulmate from La Verne, United States. I have an undergraduate degree and took early retirement in 2001. Two months later I was offered a per diem job with the parent company of my previous employer. I worked at that until the job disolved in 2009. Since then I have been 100% retired.
From April, 2009 to July, 2011 I lost my father, wife, and mother.
I love collecting and people that collect. I am an avid reader of both fiction and non fiction. I am financially secure, own my own house free and clear and abhor debt.
I have received formal training in face reading which I continue to practice almost daily. I have almost no hair, oh well.
I am looking for an independent female. She must also possess a good sense of humor as humor was my only salvation while care giving for my aging parents and my cancer stricken wife. I have no regrets as I was always there for each of them.
Meet single man from La Verne, United States. I'm not perfect but I'm livable! I have most of my own teeth and I can be taken out in public. Well, to most events.
I am a physical person, yes I like the touchy feely, holding stuff but please keep it quiet, I don't want my guy friends to know. They all think I’m macho. You know, I have all the tools, radial arm saws etc., I made that table shown in the one picture, the book cases, and I just converted 1 of my bedrooms into a wine cellar and made the racks etc., GRRRrrrrrr macho! Don’t tell them I have a touchy feely side they will all shun me and force me to buy the drinks.
I have a Prius and whole house solar panels. I'm not nuts about "green living" and to be really honest the green effect on my wallet was a biggest consideration.
I am retired from big business, I was a VP of IT, but I got bored in retirement so I went to school and got a license to do real estate appraisals to keep me out of trouble. It’s great because I make my own schedule and only do it part time. About 2 or 3 years ago I was introduced to wine and have started making my own, I guess that makes me a vintner! The pictures of the wine cellar are from January 2012. OK I’m trying to impress you, it’s not a wine cellar, it’s a just a bedroom that I converted into a wine cellar, kind of, sort of, almost. Well, it’s a place to make and store wine so that counts for something.
Most of my pictures are from Nov 2010 and the ones of the “wine cellar” are from Jan 2112. I don’t think there is much of a change but current pictures are important as they show the other person what we look like today. Pictures from 5 or 6 years are nice memories but we may be starting a new relationship and let’s start it in the in the current world. Let’s be honest about both our inner and outer selves.
I think one of the biggest key in an ongoing relationship is honesty. We really need to be ourselves, which is often harder than it sounds. If it's right we'll know it but I guarantee we are not going to match on everything, some issues may be deal breakers, some may be work around’s, on some we might even change each other’s perspective, but we have to be honest.
I have 2 grown daughters that do not live with me but are a very important part of my life as are their children, both the 2 and 4 legged ones.
I think talking on the phone or meeting in person is much better than emails because you can’t see the eyes or hear the changes in the tone of the voice, but I can understand a woman's need for security so we will email until you get a comfort level. We only go around once, let’s make the most of it.

looking for a relationship with common values and interests for lifelong commitment. I've tried the match.com's. What horse puckey! Can't believe the liars and players! Why do women lie about themselves like that! Are they just trying to get a date? Or reign in some sucker with lies and falsehoods until they think they've got him hooked? Sorry but I'm not interested in playing games. At our age in life we don't have time! Let's enjoy the fruits of our efforts! I've only been a member for a few days but I'm puzzled by the number of photo's that women put up with pictures of their pets and grand children? What's up with that? do you think those kinds of pictures are going to attract men?? Am I missing something? Somebody please explain (if you've read this far)
