About me: As someone born and raised in Southern California (LA/South Bay area), and now back after nearly 25 years, I have a love of the ocean, the mountains, sunny days and wine country. I have lived in eight different states as well as Europe. My travels have allowed me to visit all 50 states, nearly 80 countries, and six of the seven continents (Antarctica is calling me). I exercise regularly and love a good physical challenge - running in more a dozen half-marathons and full marathons since 2010 (in 2012 ran in La Jolla and Rock 'n' Roll) . For the first 30 years of my career I worked as a senior executive for a number of Fortune 500 companies. In 2006, I "retired" in order to pursue my passion in academia where I provide executive education, organize professional conferences, conduct research, and teach graduate-level courses. One of the perks is that I am frequently invited to speak at industry conferences in the US and around the world - which allows me to visit places such as Istanbul, Prague, Paris, Rio and more. In late 2011, I moved from the east coast (near NYC) to San Diego where I joined a pretigious private university. I love my career, am financially stable, and plan to work for as many years as my intellect, knowledge, and skills are in demand.
