I was a 'rocket scientist' (really) for several years, and then I retired as CIO from a top learning company 14 years ago. I then dedicated myself to learning everything about improving one's golf performance. I am the current Golf Performance Specialist for the 2012 JC State Champion COD men's golf team.
I am affiliated with the PGA and have been mentored by PGA Tour pros and PGA-level golf instructors/trainers. I now own and operate the Zone Golf Performance Academy. In my spare time, I have been writting four books.
An ideal match for me would be a fitness devote' who continues to improve her conditioning. A sense a humor is a must. And of course the usual personal attributes: respectful, considerate, self-confident, ambitious, positive in nature, can-do mindset, mindful, aware, and driven.
A plus would be an interest in rollerblading, SUP, tennis, volleyball, biking, golf, and/or swimming.

Meet single man from California, United States. Where did all the time go? Have had the fun, while working and exploring the world. I love my family and 2 remarkable boys. I am a true gentleman and life's adventurer. Traveling and meeting people of knowledge while having fun and still learning is in my blood. I truly understand that a woman belongs at my side, or I, at her side.
Love going to a great or "small" winery. Love seafood in Barcelona with an excellent "chilled" white cava wine, and a great smile across the table. Love tasting the great foods of the world, but the food in Barcelona and Tuscany are my favorites. And yes, love all the great wines, even from the "new world", but the old world continues to provide the comfort, for my tastes.
Love walking in the same area of civilizations long gone, and viewing their successes, and of course, the cause of their downfall. I also love/love museums and history. But, new adventures in this ever changing world are also stimulating.
I have traveled to 50 countries, some of them no longer exist. Found out that most people are the same, the world over, with the same basic concerns. But, certain stimuli results in confusion and chaos, that cannot exist in my life. But, for the most part, hopefully, but not in my lifetime, it will evolve to kindness and success for the Human condition.
Also, I still, even at my age, volunteer to help the elderly/elderly. It was funny, about a year ago, that I realized, that I was old too! But, I'm far from it, both physically and mentally.
By the way, if you think that Barack Obama is a good President, I am not for you.
For me, it is simply a great love. Yes, there have been many, married once. But, I have not been perfect, sad to say. If only.. .................But, "youth" is wasted on the young, as I have found out. I do have the ability to understand a "good" person. I do understand that some of us are not perfect, but will be, if not, we tried!
But, I have reached one final conclusion on love; A great love, regardless of the time, is well worth the effort! Is it not great to have a final love, or is it asking tooooooooooooooooooooooooo much?
By the way, there are two (2) things that will not make me trust people; To Wit---People that don't like chocolate or ZZ Top.

Date a man from California, United States. Recently retired and now living the desert life (still not sure if this is my final destination; I'm leaving my options open until I meet you). I'm active, fit (workout weekly), inquisitive, financially secure, adventurous and enjoy the never ending humor (and contradictions) of life. I like traveling, especially to tropical locations, cruises and learning the history offered by some destinations. I enjoy dining out, concerts, dancing, movies and plays. Of course, there's also cooking, playing and relaxing at home. Golf is my outdoor sport of choice, but I'm open to others.

Meet a soulmate from California, United States. I am the sort of person who has trouble sitting still, I have to be accomplishing something, reading, golf, exercise, x-words, something! I am happiest when I am doing something or planning to do something. I live on a golf course and play golf regularly, the strongest part of my game seems to be perseverance. I bicycle, swim (actually I run laps in the pool), go to the gym, hike, jog, paint, read, follow the Lakers, the Dodgers, college football (I played small college football). I am a member of the Sierra Club and go on outings with them. I want to go places I’ve read about and see places I’ve never seen. I hope to climb Half Dome in Yosemite National Park and would like to climb (hike) to the top of some mountain, maybe Mt. Baldy near Ontario, California, my old hometown. I am curious to see what’s in the museums I have not visited. I would like to take a walking tour across Scotland or Wales, much more appealing to me than a luxury cruise. I have not had the opportunity to travel much over the last few years and am anxious to make up for that.
If my friends, colleagues, and family were asked to come up with ten words/terms to describe me I believe they would say I was; loyal; honest, kind, generous; polite; tasteful and creative; polite; hardworking; a wonderful father; intelligent; athletic; someone able to able to see the humor in his mistakes. Or they might say; standoffish; reserved, maybe a little distant; guarded; competitive; sometimes impatient; a man of interesting but different tastes.
I would like to be more adventuresome (for which I need a partner) thus a little less restless. I have never really had my own pets, but seem drawn to those who are pet lovers. I would like to do a little good in this world.
An ideal woman for me would be one who finds virtue in how I see myself and accepts me with a kindly laugh, a smile, and maybe a little shrug. She would have to appreciate the physical side of life, someone who likes sports, games, and doing things outside. I would like someone who could teach me things I don’t know.
