I am creative with ideas, curious to others' perspectives, and past the need to dominate /win. I've done the serious questions, spent my time in spiritual quests, and now mostly try to enjoy myself and my fellow travelers. The idealism of my youth remains in my romanticism, tempered, of course, by the pragmatic. I'm known as a man who lives by his word.
I've gone through several career choices, and have been teaching high school for 25 years. I enjoy kids; they're interesting and often funny. I've been ballroom dancing for 25years (inactive the last 10 but want to return), enjoying the non-verbal male-female involvement. On my 3rd tuxedo; I enjoy a lady who likes to dress. However, mostly, I am casual and informal, playful and wry. I get down dirty, up in the Sierra camping a couple of weeks, each summer, but I do like my Queen mattress in my tent trailer. I keep season tickets to the symphony and to the theater. I volunteer usher at Napa Valley Opera House. Get into the city once or twice weekly for CommonWealth Club programs.
A metaphor: the image I see is a boy and girl, maybe 5 years old, playing together in a sandbox. Sometimes they play together and sometimes, each does his/her own thing. They like each other and they enjoy their hours and their days, whatever they're doing. Beyond that, I'm not particularly concerned blonde, brunette, or redhead or any other particular. I will find her fascinating and of interest in our conversations.

After several near brushes with fatality and then losing my oldest teenager due to a medical travesty, I left a successful technology career and lost my way for awhile. I then became a health pro, teaching and coaching for many years. I am passionate about helping people who genuinely want it, at "their" level. People need & want real answers! The Law of Limitations says: We don’t know what we don’t know. So, here we are! We love people and are committed to really helping them, whether personally or professionally, offering and giving them much value, and in business delivering honest, ethical goods and services to them. Recognizing that there are arguably far too many voices “out there”, who do people that are searching listen to? Well, that would require a somewhat lengthy response. In short, we believe in evidence-based health & nutrition, teaching, coaching, mentoring, and accountability. Life is short, and good one is a choice of habits. And a good life is not necessarily an easy one -- it is however, a fulfilling one -- one filled with joy, loyalty, friendship, love, compassion, gratefulness, gentle persuasion, tolerance (without compromise is possible), sincerity, truthfulness, respect, and more. As my mother taught me, look for the best in people and you'll draw it out. Dad always asked "did you get both sides of the story?". Both thoughts & feelings are equally important.
Just as significant, we believe, is for us to be gaining and nurturing the right associations – both in personal and business life, and in mentoring and being coached. We believe that one person, or couple, with firm commitment, can make a significant impact -- today. We want to make an increasingly effective difference in our culture, by paying-forward, inspiring others, and living with consuming purpose that is �alive’ in all areas of life. “We make the choices – God makes the changes!”
There is a price tag for all this. It involves high integrity with a strong commitment of all our resources. We can’t afford not to. Most say today, “seeing is believing”. We choose to travel the road of “believing is seeing”. And belief implies action.
One final note: I was a 1-woman man married to his college sweetheart, now parent of 5, grandparent of 3. Told I am an "expressive analytic". I can listen well. I can talk. I do believe in: moral & scientific absolutes; love arts & science, that everything happens for a reason; and that sound character is the most important thing a person can attain to. I believe that truly progressive health & success in all areas of life can then follow.
