Date a man from California, United States. Hello there! I am a native Californian, born in Santa Monica. My teenage years were spent in Thousand Oaks. I grew up surfing, sailing, free diving, waterskiing, and later added scuba diving, cross country snow skiing, zip lining and jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. I have sung in choirs and even tried playing the guitar. My interests over the years have found me in different countries and in various states of this country. I currently live in Trinity County, having built my home here. I have raised chickens, rabbits, sheep, pigs, burros, dogs and cats- I like animals. Haven’t had much luck with domestic birds, so I stick with feeding the wild ones. I am currently sharing my home with two dogs and two cats. I have worked all my adult life and just recently retired. I have been widowed and now recently divorced. I have three sons, a granddaughter and grandson. The kitchen does not intimidate me – I make great paella - and do well at the BBQ. Can’t say I’m a domestic diva (dusting is a pain), but I keep a clean house. I consider myself a jack of most trades, but maybe only master of a couple.
Considering my job history, I believe I am pretty even keeled. I can get along with most anyone and am known as pretty low keyed. I like people and volunteer to help whenever needed. I enjoy giving back to my community. Life is worth living and I want to see what tomorrow brings. T-shirts, shorts, and sandals make up my primary clothing line, but I clean up pretty well for more formal events. I generally stay busy, but am content to sit when the day is done or when the prompting is attractive. I like being romantic and maybe a little old fashioned in that I believe a woman should be treated as a woman. My fifth wheel trailer is my home away from home with my favorite places being along the ocean – wherever. Kicking back on the beach, flying a kite is a great stress reliever.
I believe in staying healthy by eating well and staying active. I believe in the Holy Trinity and strive to pattern my actions and attitudes based on His teachings.
I am new to this form of “dating”, actually new to dating. I much prefer conversation over a cup of something (I’m not a coffee drinker so Pepsi is my preference).
