Date men and women from Madera, United States. I am impassioned by the travel I have done. I care about others because it's not very smart to do otherwise. We need to validate the people who are good to us. Relationships are important. We're just passing through this life.
The qualities I am drawn to in men are sensitiviity without volatility. I am attracted by people who are different from myself. The concept of self-development is important to me. Perhaps I am somewhat non-conventional, but I believe that conformity for its own sake is boring at best. People with interesting or varied backgrounds attract me. Emphasis upon the purely materialistic is not a primary goal for me. I think American men are often very goal-driven in their desire to achieve economically. As a result, other facets of their personalities may tend be less-evolved.
By the way, I lived in Japan in the early 70's as a teacher of ESL. I became a bilingual teacher later (Spanish/English). I am retired. I substitute now. Economically, I can hold my own.
I volunteer for a couple of organizations. One is an organization that raises money for scholarships for African-American youth. I am the secretary and the only person in the group not African-American. Last summer I did a number of translations for Habitat For Humanity.
Meet people from Madera, United States. I'm active, intelligent and enjoy good company. I'm a fairly good looking woman with country class. I enjoy the same in a man. I like a man who isn't afraid to work with his hands and who enjoys animals, specifically horses. My photo is in EHarmony with my brother.
