I love being outdoors, am a warm weather girl, and enjoy walking, hiking, golfing (of late the ole clubs have gathered some dust), gardening, and traveling. I have a sense of humor, and love to laugh. I'm young at heart, and it is big and generous as well. I am happy, have a positive attitude, and I am financially secure. My husband of many years passed away in 2009 after a long illness. We had no children together. My three stepchildren are grown and live on their own. I have learned over the years that life brings you happiness and sadness, but how one reacts to these experiences is what builds character. I am interested in philosophy and psychology. I find at this point of my life, I have become very interested in our planet and different parts of it. . I was married for 36 years to a very intelligent man who became ill and lasted for about one and a half years after becoming sick. We knew it was terminal. He has passed on. I found that this year after has been a very difficult time. I always loved our vows which we wrote up with some help. I liked the part "I want to grow old with you". I don't think people like getting old in our world today. Anyway, I feel it is time for me to move on with my life. We all want to last forever, it seems. I look young for my age, so I have been told many times, and I have to admit I have worked at it every day. Part of being young is your attitude, and I try to have a good attitude. I find myself reading more books about taking care of myself more exercising. I like yoga, and walking. I especially like walking on the beach, or at parks where you are one with nature. I used to love to cook, but have replaced that with plainting twenty or more years ago. I find painting is my passion, it is a big part of who I am. Whenever and whatever I learn from someone can end up in a painting. I paint abstract painting, so I try to be very observant of people and where I am. I find myself, especially since my husband's death thinking of my mother, father and grandmother who have all gone on. To me they are here wherever I need them. Life can be interesting. I have a cat, and I enjoy having pets. She is a "pearl". I would love to have a small dog, too. Maybe, somesday. I have two daughters, one who lives in California, and the other in Arizona. I enjoy being with other people, and love to danc. Well, I think that is enough to say right now!!
