I think it's great if two people have some of the same interests and , but it's also great to be open to trying other things together. I enjoy being with a women who projects an image of kindness, is considerate and is caring towards others feelings. I believe that at this point in my life I have learned from experience who I am, what I want, and what I have to give. I have a full life and cherish my family, friends, volunteering, my spirituality, my free time. It would be wonderful to add another dimension to that in the form of a fulfilling relationship. I just retired as Capt from a major U.S. Airline and am ready to travel for fun rather that work. I own a small single engine airplane that keeps my hand in flying and also used for volunteer flying for Angel Flight West -- a compassion based service flying those that have medical problems to where they need to go. Therefore, I intend to purchase a home and live in a beach community from the San Clemente-Dana Point area southward to as-far-south-as Imperial Beach. While the impact of the current recession has hindered my progress and my relocation has been somewhat delayed, I am is still in progress towards my goal. Because I am fiscally conservative and socially a moderate, I get along well with all political leanings.

My biggest claim to fame is I carry no current baggage (maybe a little from the past) I have no vices other than I have a passion for life.(Living each day and getting the most out of it). Growing up on Long Island was fabulous (but brrrrr...what is that white stuff?) I played girls basketball and softball and was the Captain of the cheerleading squad. We were always at the beach. I am a New Yorker at heart and I enjoy spending time in Manhattan and seeing Broadway musicals and feeling the ambiance of being in the greatest city in the world. I also lived in Colorado and wow...the mountains and the scenery can take your breath away.
Lucky for me, I experienced living in beautiful Germany for a year. I can sprechen Deutsch pretty well.
Also, luck would have it that I wound up in Carlsbad about 3 blocks from the beach. How great is that? I take out my convertible when the sun is shining and just let my hair blow in the wind and I play 60's music and listen to Cuzzin Brucie...
I have three grown children and 4 grandchildren and sadly, they all live far from me. My girl angels are 5, 8, and 10. My grandson, Joseph, 15, travels with me and in '08 we went to Ireland, Paris and London and in '09 we took a cruise on the Baltic and then spent two weeks in Germany. In '10 we went to Maui and last summer we had our 3rd fantastic Trip to Europe. We've now experienced 16 countries together.
Traveling is in my blood and I think I've now been to every one of our states. I love to cruise and travel to anywhere. (My bags are packed...so let's go!) Last summer I so enjoyed an incredible 11 night cruise to Greece and Turkey. Over Christmas and the New Year, I cruised and toured gorgeous New Zealand, then on to the land of Oz and stood in front of Ayer's Rock awe struck. I held a koala bear in my arms and I swam in the totally amazing Great Barrier reef... I have been so blessed!
Good relationships are a a 50-50 type of thing. There is a lot of giving and taking on both sides but without harm and malace. Good partnerships take understanding, patience and an abundance of love. I was fortunate and blessed in many ways and one is that I know how to love someone unconditionally.
Boy, do I love to laugh and I believe that together, if you truly love each other, that it's not so difficult to get over the bumps that life might throw at you.
