I worked in law enforcement for 18 years before getting injured and retiring. I taught at the college level for sevral years and now teach 6th graders LOVE IT!. I lost my dad just over 5 years ago to cancer and it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do/watch. My dad's dream was to go to Alaska and go fishing and see the beauty there. I just lived out my dad's dream of going to Alaska and catching salmon Dad..that salmon was for you! I also just lost my mom suddenenly in 2012.

I'm no different. I'd never claim to be a fan of the expression 'age is just a number' but I guess it's so popular because it's true. If we remove all talk of mathematics from this discussion, what would shine though is that I'm a grown up, responsible guy with a child-like playful streak more than the proverbial mile long.
I choose to believe that the universe rewards spontaneity, and I've started rising early and choosing my daily destination checking the weather and then just going. Even though I'm a seasoned entrepreneur and enjoy a solid, rewarding career with unlimited potential, I'm the opposite of a workaholic. All in all, my life is pretty well configured and relatively free of drama.
So why am I here? Good question. I survived the 'til death do us part vow of my marriage vows and lost my wife of 22 years to cancer. It was unexpected and awful, but I've grieved and learned and am ready to take my life back. It's no surprise, really, given my love of adventure. After all, what adventure is greater than that of falling in love?
If we talk physical attraction I'll admit to a weakness for slender, younger women but mentally I love high tech geek chicks. My ideal date isn't offended by that word (chicks), falls into the 35-45 year old demographic and is open minded. She's not right-wing anything, but she is smart, funny and attractive.
