Date men and women from California, United States. Hi there this is Ken, and thanks for checking out my profile!! ;)) Summer 2012 is here and I'm single and ready!
So here we all are on Match.com in this modern hi-tech age of dating. My friends would describe me as fun, zany, goofy, nerdy, bold, funky, social, nice-looking, unique, chatty, and smart--all at the same time! JK haha ;) I take care of myself by working out at the gym, not smoking, and no drugs, thus I look younger than my age. Im youthful in looks, spirit, and energy, but have the experience, confidence, and wisdom of someone older. BTW my hair is longer now than my primary pic.
As you can see I have many different looks from clean cut hair plastered back shirt and tie to shaggy surfer! I'm in the prime of my life emotionally and physically (note--People Magazine's sexiest men alive--all in their 40s haha!!). I was raised mostly overseas in the Caribbean and Asia, and I've traveled the world--Ive been to Europe, India, Hong Kong, Australia, and Fiji. But Im from the San Francisco area originally and came to Sou Cal out of high school to go to UC Irvine.
I'm looking to meet a nice, sweet girl who is grounded in reality and wants to have a great first date and go from there! A decent first date is meeting up for coffee or a drink. Some more interesting things about me are...I like watching TV shows--Tough Love, House Hunters InternationaI, River Monsters, Off Limits, Speed, CNN, etc. I collect nice watches, my hair sucks, I took 5 years of Spanish, I have a thing for fast and dangerous machines, I used to be a champion sailor, I do auto detailing, I was an amateur DJ back in college, some of my fave movies are 40 Year Old Virgin, Deuce Bigalow, Zohan, The Dictator (Aladeen!) and of course all James Bond movies!, I like the smell of a store, my room is decorated is Italian baroque, and I like different things like clothes and colognes.

I laugh every chance I get, and enjoy making people smile. I can be a goofball, but am passionate and old fashioned in many ways. A lady's got to have a sense of style, the ability to run in heels, a spark in her eye and a killer smile. Nothing's more attractive than a woman with a gorgeous smile.
I love to live an active life and explore. I enjoy the outdoors, the beach, discovering new places, catching the latest movie (especially comedies), playing guitar, hanging out with friends and meeting new people. The Mountain Winery is one of my favorite venues to frequent since it blends my love for music, outdoor landscape and fun people. Salsa, anyone? Date men and women from United States. I have spent the majority of my adult life working as an executive in the restaurant industry. Today, I lead Research & Development for a large restaurant chain based in Southern, CA. I have a couple degrees in Culinary Arts and Business and I have an equal passion for both diciplines. Having grown up as a working chef, I have learned to appreciate the relationship between family, food, and fun. I signed on to Match last year in the hope that I may find a network of friends with whom I may find a connection. It's indeed a challenge to find time to meet people when you are consumed with work, etc. My hope is that there is someone out there looking for me. Perhaps she's reading this message right now. I enjoy surfing every chance I get (cold water, sunshine and a couple of passer-by dolphins = always a good day in my opinion). Don't do drugs or smoke. Love to run on the beach every morning. I enjoy getting to know somebody new and meeting new people in any setting. My friends say I am fun, adventurous, caring and compassionate............ (or they're just lying to me and telling me that while actiually I'm none of those things and they just don't want to offend me). Hmmmmm, either way..... good friends. ; )
Work : Finance/portfolio trader (and yes, it's actually fun!!). Relationally : what am I looking for in a person? I'm easy on this one. Also, my kiddos come down to the beach and surf with me whenever they get the chance (usually more times than not) - they're spoiled of course . ; ) What else? Basically, I am very thoughtful, caring, athletic and intellectual.. I enjoy an active life, wether it be exercise or travel or more likely both. I like to have fun, and do a lot socially - meeting friends or having them over for dinner, and traveling together. Once I have had some exercise, I enjoy chilling with a book, glass of wine, or person I care about for conversation.

I love to travel. When traveling, I tend to avoid the tourist spots and seek out the smaller, more traditional towns and villages. Experiencing different cultures leads me to revisit my own values, and often leaves me with a slightly changed perspective on life...I like that sensation. I also follow international politics (NPR and KPFA addict), and do my best to have a low impact on our planet.
I am looking for a long term relationship. I'm a calm, stable and reliable man with a lot to give and share. I want to spend the rest of my life with one woman, and bring out the best in each other. I'd like to meet a woman who is passionate and creative...and who also desires a loving and supportive relationship.
