I've always thought such conversations were best had face to face, but I get it - you're on this site because you have a busy lifestyle and you want to be able to screen the weirdos as conveniently and efficiently as possible. I respect that, so let's cut to the chase:
1. My two kids are without doubt my greatest accomplishment. They are healthy, whip-smart, kind, athletic, curious - what more could a dad ask for?
2. Ideas and Learning are important to me. I am a High School Teacher. My father is a PhD and my mother was an M.Ed - school came first growing up, and it comes first for my kids. This being said, I do believe there are many different routes to an "education" and advanced degrees do not necessarily denote the most keen of intellects. And I'm certain that wisdom can not be taught in school.
3. Sports are important to me, but I am not a meathead. I abhor the perpetuation of the stereotype of the "dumb jock". I coach, I play ; my kids play; I golf (poorly), Mountain Bike, work out as my schedule permits; and yes, I like to sit on the couch on a Fall Saturday afternoon and watch college football. If you hate sports, stop reading and click onto the next guy...

I own an Eco Lighting business that is taking off very nicely. We sell and install LED lighting commercially and to municipalities. It does take a lot of my time, but it is worth it. In business I tend to be a bit of a shark- I drive myself and my people hard, and I devour competition. I am very competitve and dont like to lose. I can accept losing graciously but I make note of my mistakes and make sure I am better for it in the future. I look back at my life and see where my mistakes have actually taught me, and I learn to use them to my advantage from then on. But in my personal life I am laid back and easy going. I am big, 6'4" 280lbs, not really fat (ok, I dont get to the gym as often as I need so maybe I am gettign a little chubby lol)but think Football lineman. In fact I played semi pro football as late as 2006. I am getting a little old for it though! I lifted and worked out religiously for years, now I do it as I can. If you are looking for a "six pack", mine is long gone but I can still hold my own athletically. You will feel safe with me as I can be intimidating to those that dont know me- to you though I am a teddy bear-or so I have been told lol. I love Holidays, and love to make each one a special occassion. Long story short: Due to an unhealthy school (mold) I was teaching in in Texas, I was sick in my early 30s. I realized that I had to live in a dry place. So here I am in Denver. Best decision I made. I have a nice job that pays well, I have relatives here and friends (another good thing about playing on team sports), and now I just bought a nice house in the Lakewood area.
