Meet people from United States. I'm a high school literature teacher, and I like to use my free time to travel whenever the opportunity presents itself. I've travelled pretty extensively when I was younger, and I have lived overseas. I'm a pretty well established person with a stable career and home. (I laugh a little at some of the complaints I read on a number your of profiles. At the risk of crossing the line between confidence and arrogance, I actually have my **** together!) I enjoyed raising my daughter who is off to college now, so I'm looking for ways to spend my free time. I'm at the point in my life where travel is becoming more feasible once again, so a travel partner would be most welcome! I'm not much of a club guy, but I like to go out so long as the company's good. I don't drink (not because I'm against it, I just never acquired a taste for it), so you'd always have a designated driver. I love sushi! I've established a pretty comfortable way of life with an adequate amount of means and plenty of free time. I guess I can be a bit of a homebody, but I'm fortunate enough to have a fun circle of friends who are more than accommodating in their varied activities and keep me busy enough. I tend to be a regular t-shirt and jeans kind of guy. However, on the rare occasion when I have to, or when I feel like it, I clean up pretty well. I enjoy music and play a little now and then (somewhat the creative arts-y type).
Perhaps I don't try hard enough, but I'm not one to chase after somebody (especially if she is not interested in being caught!), so hopefully an interested party doesn't need too much of that kind of attention. Certainly playful flirting is a lot of fun, to an extent, but there needs to be a mutual attraction and a mutual respect for the risks taken in the dating world. I tend to go for the Girl Next Door type, but someone who is slightly dangerous has always been alluring, as well. I don't like to look too far ahead when I meet someone. I just want to go out and see if anything clicks--have a coffee or dinner and some company for an evening and see how things go. Eventually, I want to meet someone who fits into my life comfortably as well as me fitting into her life without compromising individual identity too much. Certainly attraction plays a big part, but that can differ from person to person as far as what may be attractive about them. I don't believe in cookie cutter personalities. Each person is so unique and different...just like everybody else!

I enjoy working out but I'm not a hard body if that's what you're looking for. I mainly workout for the enjoyment and because it's a great de-stresser. My job can be very stressful most of the time. And working out keeps me sane :) Although missing a workout makes me a bit crazy!
I take pride in my kids ages 5, 7 and 9 yrs old. They are with me most of the time and they are my motivation. I would need for my match to be very flexible and very patient. And although they don't need a father...you would have to be a good role model. I don't expose my children to everyone I meet until it feels right. I don't think children need to go through the ups and downs of their parents dating life.
I love going to the movies to relax and get lost for a couple of hours. Hiking on a weekend morning or evening. Biking at the beach and stopping for lunch. It would be great to get away to Vegas since I haven't been there in a good while. Or even San Diego or Palm Springs for the day. In fact any little get-away is always nice. There are so many places nearby to go to, it's difficult to list them all. I would love to travel the world but I don't have the finances to do so. I know that sounds boring but my childrens needs do come first.
I love basketball (Lakers of course!), football (Patriots fan..strange for a Cali girl I know) and baseball (Angels!). Watching the games at a great sports bar is always fun or going to an actual game once in a while. And if you're a HUGE NFL fan (any team is ok as long as you can deal with my awesome Pats!) or if you love the Lakers..that is a huge plus! Hockey is also my newest love...Go Kings! I love to hang out with friends and family..BBQ'ing or getting out for some fun as a group. Don't worry..I love staying home at times too vegging out with my man! I'm a girl who loves to hang out in a T-shirt, jeans and tennis shoes. I don't mind dressing up now and then but you won't find me in heels on a daily basis. Ok..heels I like..dresses not so much.
More than anything I would love to find someone to hang out with, have fun and share my life with. That includes the good, the bad and the ugly..because life isn't perfect!
